Inspired By Narendra Modi, Director Priyanka Raina Tells How Cold Drinks Can Be Injurious In Her Short Film Cold Drinks Injurious To Health Way back in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a speech in Karnataka that fizzy cola manufacturers should put natural ingredients By Team Bollyy 18 Apr 2019 | Updated On 18 Apr 2019 07:20 IST in Latest Trending New Update Follow Us Share Jyothi Venkatesh Way back in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a speech in Karnataka that fizzy cola manufacturers should put natural ingredients like fruit juice in their drinks. He expressed his government’s determination to shower technological help and benefits to farmers and even Adivasis to help them move forward and not face poverty even as they are feeding the nation. He also said that, if well-packaged and with attention to quality, Indian products like curry and even natural drinks and more would be devoured by the world. Based on this, short filmmaker Priyanka Raina has made one-minute-and-15-second short film titled “Cold Drinks Injurious to Health,” and it has got a clean censor certificate despite showing a Thums Up bottle and mentioning the names of specific cold drinks. It advocates for water as the best thirst-quencher, and suggests fruit juices, lassi, buttermilk and other natural substitutes for chemical-ridden colas to quench thirst. “When I showed them proof of our prime minister talking about the benefits of natural foods, I got a clean certificate. One day income of Cola companies is around 3200 CR which goes to foreign. Instead you can have Coconut water, Sugarcane juice and give those 3200 CR to our Farmers. Like this you also help our Farmers grow" , preens Priyanka Raina. Watch Priyanka Raina's short film “Cold Drinks Injurious to Health”: For more Bollywood updates, follow Bollyy!
