Chahat Pandey, who is currently appearing on Bigg Boss, shares a close friendship with TV actress Anupama Solanki. They previously worked together on the Dangal TV show "Nath: Jewels or Chains." Earlier, they played college-going girls in another series. Now, as Chahat navigates life inside the Bigg Boss house, Anupama is fully supporting her from the outside. Anupama spoke with Mayapuri Magazine about Chahat's gameplay, her altercations with Avinash, and her predictions for the winner of Bigg Boss.
Anupama Shares Views on Chahat’s Gameplay in Bigg Boss
- You know Chahat quite well. How do you feel about her gameplay in Bigg Boss?
Chahat is playing a great game right now. Initially, she was quite down, and I was wondering why she wasn't responding to what others were saying. But now she has started to engage more and is responding to people’s comments.
- There are mixed opinions about different contestants. Some say Chahat is just acting as if the cameras are rolling and she’s in character. What do you think?
We've known each other for 5-6 years. For those saying she’s acting, I assure you, she is genuinely like this. If she seems a bit less talkative, it’s just that she’s been quieter lately. But now, she’s even managed to silence Rajat!
- What are your thoughts on the banter between Vivian and Chahat?
Sometimes it seems cute, but at other times it feels excessive. Vivian is a wonderful person; he’s very down-to-earth. He respects food and waits for everyone to eat before he does. I really admire these little traits of his. It's not that he has a conflict with Chahat; they both play their games well. Their banter is inevitable because they need content, but I think Vivian should choose someone else for that. His aura is strong, and if he had a one-on-one clash with someone else, it would get more attention. With Chahat, it feels off to me.
When Vivian got involved in the monitor task with Esha, Elisha, and Avinash, it didn’t sit well. Childish behavior doesn’t suit him.
- You, Chahat, and Avinash were part of the same show. Avinash claims he was ousted due to someone’s influence and that Chahat saw herself as the hero of the show. What do you think?
There’s nothing wrong with Chahat considering herself the hero of the show. If she has been the face of the show for many years, she has the right to say so. Many others have come and gone, but she stayed. Thanks to her, people began to recognize Dangal TV. This was the channel's first hit show, and I see nothing wrong in her statement.
- Did you notice any friction between Chahat and Avinash on set, similar to what we see in the Bigg Boss house?
Not everyone vibes with each other. We often hear about co-stars not getting along, while some form strong bonds. When Chahat and I first entered the industry, we played college girls in a show. We didn’t know our friendship would last this long, but here we are. I don’t bond easily with many, but I do with Chahat. She remains grounded.
- Salman Khan often teases Chahat about Karanveer. How do you feel about their chemistry?
I enjoy their playful banter; it’s cute. When Salman Sir teases her, she laughs, making it seem like something is going on between them. But that’s just how she is—she laughs at everything.
- Which other contestants do you think are performing well besides Chahat?
Vivian is doing great; he’s well-known in the industry and is a favorite of Bigg Boss. He’s calm, but sometimes I feel he gets caught in the trio dynamics. When he interacts with Avinash, it seems to bother Karan. Vivian’s aura diminishes a bit when he asks Avinash for things, while Karan never does that.
- It’s early days, but who do you think will win Bigg Boss?
I see both Vivian and Chahat as strong contenders. They’re both playing well, and Vivian is also a favorite. He has a lot of advantages, but Chahat is impressing me too—she’s gaining a fan following even though the show has just started. People appreciate her simplicity. She’s very thoughtful in her approach. I believe those who walk humbly tend to rise higher; arrogance can lead to downfall.
I find Shilpa Ji's duality a bit off; she wants to play both sides. People say Karan doesn’t play openly, but I feel he does engage when necessary.
