In Bigg Boss 19, one of the most unexpected evictions was that of Baseer Ali. During the recent Weekend Ka Vaar, when Nehal Chudasama and Baseer were evicted together, even Salman Khan was shocked — as many believed Baseer was a sure-shot finalist this season. Now, after stepping out, Baseer has called his eviction “unfair.” In an exclusive media conversation, he made several revelations about the show, votes, and social media support. Here’s what he said —

Salman Khan announced Baseer Ali Eviction

Your eviction came as a huge shock to everyone. Even fans were upset. What was that moment like when Salman Khan announced your name?

Honestly, I wasn’t at all prepared to believe that I was evicted. The entire evening, when Mika Paaji and Sonakshi Sinha visited the house, Salman sir kept saying that only one person would be leaving that day. While Nehal and I were joking around, he even teased us, saying — “What if one of you stays and the other goes?” That made it sound like only one person would be leaving.
But I guess destiny had other plans. Right after Nehal’s eviction, my name was announced too. I was completely stunned — numb, actually. Even now, I’m still processing the reality that I’m out of the game.

Who do you think is responsible for your eviction — yourself, your team, or the makers?

I was told that I was evicted due to low votes — but that’s completely false. The moment I got my phone back and checked social media, the numbers told a very different story. The same week I won Boss Meter and Minister of the Week, I was evicted! I have 2.2 million followers, and my stories get over 2 million views. Even people with 30 million followers don’t see that kind of engagement. So, to believe that my fans didn’t vote or that the audience wasn’t supporting me is hard to digest. Every season has contestants who fit the story — maybe this time, I didn’t fit into their storyline.

Farhana Bhat and later with Nehal Chudasama

You shared a special bond with Farhana Bhat and later with Nehal Chudasama. Between friendship and affection — which connection was more genuine for you?

Honestly, I was my most natural self around Farhana. What we shared was effortless and unfiltered — she’d say something silly, I’d be cleaning with a broom, and we’d just laugh. After my prayers, she’d jokingly say, “Allah, please make him color blind so he stops noticing girls!” (laughs)
It was childish, innocent fun — nothing pretentious. That’s why you’ll always see that genuine happiness on my face whenever I talk about her.

You’re known to speak up often. Why do you comment when others don’t?

Why shouldn’t I? As long as I’m in the house, wearing a mic, surrounded by 230 cameras and 700 mics — I have every right to voice my opinion. Whether it’s 3 a.m. or 7 a.m., if I feel something’s wrong, I’ll speak up.
That’s the format of the show — say what you feel is right. If anyone has a problem, they can come stop me. Whether Nehal speaks or not, I will. And honestly, no one can silence me.

Amaal Malik recently said that there’s no group left — just he and Shehbaz Badesha. What’s your take on that and Zeishan Qadri’s actions?

When I met Zeishan after coming out, he told me several things. He said that Amaal had been quite contradictory — saying certain things, gossiping, and even making comments that went against our own group. I was surprised to hear that.
To be honest, I want to speak to Amaal myself first — to understand his mindset and why he did what he did. Once the show ends and we’re all out, I’ll talk to him personally and then decide what to say publicly.

Prince Narula posted a video saying you couldn’t have been evicted without votes — that this was the makers’ conspiracy. Do you agree?

I don’t even need to say anything — the truth speaks for itself. This show was always my dream because of contestants like Prince Narula. I’ve admired how he played and how he took this show to another level. He’s my inspiration, my idol.
If today he’s standing up for me, I don’t need to say a word. That’s enough for me.

What about your relationship with Nehal?

I’ve said it clearly — in front of Salman Khan, the housemates, and everyone — Nehal and I are just good friends. When Malti once came to my room and called her my girlfriend, I immediately said, “She’s not my girlfriend, she’s my friend.”
Love is a big word — and before reaching that point, friendship has to be strong first. Right now, we’re just friends trying to understand each other better.

Nehal told us that somewhere, she does have feelings for you. What’s your reaction?

Yes, that’s true. It started when Nehal said a few things to Farhana, and Farhana later told me that she felt Nehal might have feelings for me. That’s when Nehal and I decided to sit down and talk to clear the air. We wanted to understand where our friendship stood and what it meant. Unfortunately, my journey ended before we could figure that out.

You had an interesting dynamic with Abhishek Bajaj. What’s your take on him now?

I genuinely tried to build a good bond with Abhishek, but he always saw me as competition, not a friend. Remember the pani-puri nomination task? I fed Mridul and Malti, and then Abhishek forcefully came and fed me pani-puri just to balance things out. I told him — “If you call yourself my friend, would you drag me into the well just because you’re falling?”
It irritated me because it showed his friendship wasn’t genuine. I can proudly say that my intentions were pure — but that same honesty ended up hurting me. There’s no friendship left between us now.

You once challenged Pranit More — “Let’s see who gets evicted first.” Now that you’re out before him, how do you feel?

More than feeling bad, I’ve accepted it — because I made that bet myself. When I got evicted, Pranit was in the garden, his eyes full of tears. I told him, “You’ve won the bet.” He hugged me and said, “Shut up, man!”
But I’ll say this to everyone — when he comes out, we’ll meet again, and that bet will be settled for real.

Having done other reality shows before, who do you think is the fakest contestant this season? And who deserves to win?

In my opinion, the fakest contestant is Tanya Mittal. And as for the winner, he’s sitting outside — that’s me! (laughs) But if I put ego aside and speak from the heart, I’d say I want Amaal Malik, Shehbaz, or Neelam Giri to win this show.
