Bharat Ahlawwat, Lead Actor of ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’, on Completing 200 Episodes: "Feels Like Time Flew By"

Zee TV’s ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’ recently marked a major milestone by completing 200 episodes. To celebrate the occasion, Mayapuri’s journalist Shilpa Patil sat down for a special interview with the show’s lead actor Bharat Ahlawwat, who plays the role of Raghav. During the conversation, they discussed the journey so far, Raghav and Reet’s on-screen bond, the star cast, the vibe on set, and more.

• Your show ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’ has completed 200 episodes. How has this journey been for you?

It has been an amazing journey. Honestly, I didn’t even realize how time flew by. The story is so engaging that even we, as actors, get deeply involved in it. At times, it feels like something new is happening in our own lives. That excitement of doing something fresh keeps pulling us into the next scene. That’s what keeps the audience connected too, and it makes our work truly enjoyable.

• Your character ‘Raghav’ is now well-loved by the audience. Who do you credit for reaching this point?

First and foremost, I’d like to thank Zee TV, Goldie Sir, Suman Ma’am, and our director, Uttam Sir. They are the ones who brought the character of Raghav to life. I’ve learned so much through playing Raghav. Even I feel that as an actor, I’ve grown a lot. I now understand many things that earlier seemed difficult to grasp.

• Is there a particular scene in the show that is especially close to your heart?

There are many memorable scenes, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Holi scene we shot by the pool. I had to act as if I was drunk on bhang, and I danced in that scene too. It was so much fun — I still remember the joy of shooting it. Especially the moment when Prateek comes near me and I suddenly kiss him — that was such a fun and unforgettable moment.

• What is the atmosphere like on set during shoots?

The atmosphere on our set is very positive, and I think that’s the most important thing. From the beginning, we’ve tried to maintain healthy relationships, because working in a negative environment becomes very difficult. We work like a family — there’s no jealousy, no egos. That’s probably why the show has come this far, and will continue to thrive.

• If you had to describe the Raghav-Reet pair in one word, what would it be?

Best Bond! Our chemistry is very sweet, and audiences really love it.

• How do you feel about the love from fans on social media — the edits, fan pages, and constant appreciation?

Sometimes I get teary-eyed. I never imagined in the beginning that I would receive so much love. Now when I see so many edits and fan pages, I feel like all our hard work is paying off. There was a time when I couldn’t believe all this was for me — but now, slowly, I’ve started to get used to it.

• What would you like to say to your fans who have stood by you throughout?

Just stay with us like you always have, keep supporting us. Do let us know what you like and don’t like, so we can keep improving. A heartfelt thank you to each one of you.
