Popular reality show Bigg Boss 19 (BB19) recently saw the eviction of Neelam Giri, who was loved for her sweet and honest nature inside the house. During her journey, she experienced emotional highs and lows — friendships, conflicts, and touching moments. After stepping out of the house, Neelam spoke openly with Mayapuri Magazine about her game, her friendship equations with Abhishek Bajaj and Tanya Mittal, Pranit More’s decision, and her take on the other contestants. Here’s what she shared in this candid chat…

When you were leaving the house, you had tears in your eyes. How did that moment feel for you?
That moment was very emotional for me. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave the house, but unfortunately, it happened. If Pranit had been a little more open-hearted, I might have stayed. He evicted his friend Abhishek Bajaj, which I don’t think was fair. But in the end, it’s a game — and whatever happens, happens according to the pattern of the show.
Do you think Pranit More’s decision was wrong?
Yes, I believe his decision was completely wrong. He should have saved Abhishek Bajaj, but since Salman Sir had scolded Abhishek earlier, that stayed in Pranit’s mind, and he made the wrong choice out of fear. However, this elimination might actually be a new beginning for Ashnoor, who can now play her game more freely.

What do you think about Ashnoor Kaur’s game?
Ashnoor is a wonderful girl, but she lost herself in the game while staying close to Abhishek Bajaj. She didn’t connect much with others. I, on the other hand, had my own equations — I had clashes with Farhana Bhatt, a great bond with Kunickaa ma’am, and good relationships with Mridul Tiwari, Zeishan Quadri, Baseer Ali, and Nehal Chudasama.
Your friendship with Tanya Mittal was much talked about, but later, there was a rift. What happened?
Honestly, my friendship was genuine. But when Tanya Mittal started spending more time with Farhana Bhatt, I felt a bit bad. I reacted emotionally but then realized I needed to stay practical. Later, I normalized everything and focused on my own game.

Do you think being close to Tanya affected your game?
Not at all. I never saw my friendship as a disadvantage. But yes, after Abhishek Bajaj entered, things changed. He got scared that I might become captain and even told me, “I’ll bring you down,” but ironically, I left the house with him.
Many said Tanya Mittal was being fake. What’s your take on that?
I always told her not to overdo things or try to look fake. I hope she proves everyone wrong. She’s my true friend and I like her a lot. She’s a unique personality — an “antique piece,” I’d say!

Your bond with Amaal Mallik also made headlines. Was it just fun or something more?
My bond with Amaal Mallik was purely friendly and playful. I used to tease him and he enjoyed it. He never said anything wrong about me behind my back, so I trust him. He’s a sweet guy, a talented singer, and someone everyone enjoys being around.
If you hadn’t been evicted, who do you think should have gone out instead?
I think Ashnoor should have been evicted.

Your equation with Kunickaa Sadanand seemed very good. Tell us about that.
Yes, I was very attached to her. She’s authoritative, but I always respected her. I never raised my voice. She was like a mother figure to me, and I still miss her a lot.
What’s your opinion on Gaurav Khanna’s leadership in the house?
Gaurav is a bit bossy by nature. We all felt he might make us work too much, so there was some hesitation. But honestly, he takes the captaincy very seriously, and I truly wish he gets a chance to be captain someday.

There’s been buzz about Amaal Mallik and Malti Chahar. What do you think?
That’s their personal matter. Maybe things will be clearer once they’re outside. They’re good friends, but right now, no one knows the full truth — everyone’s saying something different.
How do you see your popularity after coming out of the house?
I’m very happy. Getting appreciation from someone like Neha Kakkar is a huge honor for me. If I ever get the chance to collaborate with her, I’d definitely do it.
