How special was it for you to join ‘Hasratein Season 3’?

When I got the opportunity to work with Shakuntalam Telefilms, I was honestly a little scared. Hasratein is such a big show in itself, and joining it felt like a huge responsibility. My only thought was that I should not disappoint the audience or the makers. Instead of overthinking, I told myself, “Give your best, and the rest will fall into place.”

What is your character in ‘Midnight Bride’ and what makes it special?

I play the role of a widow. The character may seem simple, but she has many layers. She is vulnerable, emotional, but ultimately emerges very strong. I believe everyone faces challenges in life, but that doesn’t mean we should stop living. That’s the message I wanted to convey through this character.

How was your experience working with co-actor Rohan Gandotra?

I think getting a good co-actor is a matter of luck. I worked with Rohan Gandotra in ‘Midnight Bride’. Although we hadn’t worked together before, he made me feel very comfortable on set. On OTT, time is short, and if chemistry doesn’t show in two or three days, it won’t appear on screen. I believe that if you are serious about your craft, it reflects on screen.

Your perspective on bold and intimate scenes on OTT?

Intimacy is part of OTT content, but limits are discussed beforehand. I also work in the South industry—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—so certain boundaries are set. I always clarify with the makers what I can and cannot do. If everyone is comfortable, I lock the project.

What role has social media played in your career, and how do you handle trolling and negativity?

Social media is not just a platform for me—it’s my identity. During COVID, my mother told me to make videos, and that’s where it all started. I got several projects because of social media, including working on Himesh Reshammiya’s song and the film Badass Ravi Kumar. Yes, there was trolling and negativity, but I learned that people who love you today might criticize you tomorrow and then love you again.

What would you like to say about the Govind Namdev controversy?

It was just a communication gap. I still respect Govind Namdev sir. There was a misunderstanding over a photo. We just wanted people to guess that it was part of a scene, but it got interpreted differently. I never planned anything against anyone. My team and I knew the truth.

Which three projects in your career have been the most special?

If I had to choose three projects, the first would be ‘Nach Baliye’, which was a major reality show in my life. The second is ‘Midnight Bride’, because it was a fully performance-oriented role. The third is ‘Tera Ishq Mera Fitoor’, where I worked with Sehban Azim and Deep Shikha Nagpal, and received great appreciation and more opportunities.

What’s on your bucket list for the future?

My bucket list is never-ending. I don’t want to limit myself to a single platform. My biggest wish is to be part of more female-centric stories. I want to work in different genres—romantic thrillers are my favorite—but also content-driven films, strong web series, and international projects. I want to work in the South industry as well, explore its unique storytelling, collaborate with top directors, and eventually start my own production house.

What are your upcoming projects?

There are many things in the pipeline. Soon, I’ll start shooting for Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Rocket Reels’. Some South films are also awaiting release.

What message would you like to give to your fans?

I want to sincerely thank all my fans. Your love and support are my greatest strength. I promise to always work hard and never disappoint you. With Women’s Day approaching, I want to tell all women—live your dreams, work hard, and move forward without harming anyone. Life is just one, so live it fully.
