Helly Shah Stars as Dentist in Hit Web Series 'Gullak 4'

Helly started her acting career at a very young age. Helly, who debuted with the television serial 'Gulaal', did excellent work in serials like 'Swaragini', 'Devanshi', and 'Ishq Mein Marjawan 2'. Apart from TV serials, Helly has also worked in short films like 'Happy Birthday' and 'Zibah'. And now Helly is going to make her OTT debut with the web series 'Gullak' Season 4. Let us tell you that Helly is playing the role of a dentist in the series 'Gullak'. The series will stream on Sony Liv from June 7.

You are making your OTT debut with 'Gullak', tell us something about how you got associated with this project.

I got a call for an audition, so I went to give the audition. To be honest, I was just happy that I was called for the audition of Gullak. They told me that they are introducing a female character in this season. This character is just being introduced in this season, it will develop later. I was just happy that I would get a chance to be a part of Gullak. I was just thinking that I have to go and give the audition and give it well. Probably ten days after the audition, I got a call from them that I had to have a meeting, and after that things were finalized and they selected me for this role. When I got the message that I had been finalized for this role, I was very happy.

Tell us something about what will be the style of your character in this series.

First of all, this is 'Gullak'. This is a very popular and cult-favorite show. This show is very relatable and everyone likes it very much. I am happy that I am a part of such a show and this show is almost my web debut. My character is a dentist named Dr. Preeti. She is a very urban and simple girl. My character will not be seen much in this season, in this my character will be introduced and it will be shown what her equation is with Anu.

You went to Cannes last year, would you like to share some memories related to that?

It was a very good experience, everything was very beautiful. When I went there, I did not go with very high expectations. I don't know why I had this in my mind I was going to do something very regular. It took me a whole day to understand what this whole craze is about. I went there, I also walked on the red carpet, and the poster of 'Kaya Palat' was also launched but even after that, I could not believe that I had walked on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival and I collaborated with a brand like L'Oreal Paris, which is one of the biggest brands in the whole world. Everything happened so fast that I did not get time to digest anything. When the event was over, I just went out for a walk and when people's messages started coming, then I realized that what I did was a big thing.

You have taken a long break from TV, so would you like to do TV further or would you like to continue on OTT?

To be honest, there are many projects for which I have shot, which are expected to release this year. Some of my projects will be released in the next few months and after that, I will start shooting for two more projects. 'Kaya Palat' will also be released soon. I have also worked in a Gujarati film, which will also be released. I want to focus on all these things right now and travel as much as possible because later I don't get time.

What do you find most special about the 'Gullak' series?

The whole show is very special in itself. Whenever you watch this show, a smile comes on your face. This show seems so relatable that people can connect with it. The beauty of this show is that even in today's time, it is a very light-hearted and fun show and at the same time it is very relatable.

What message would you like to give to your fans?

I would like to thank my fans for all the love and support they have given me and also for waiting for so long for me to come on screen. So don't forget to watch 'Gullak' from 7th June on Sony Liv. Give it lots of love and wait for the rest of the projects to come.
