Hitesh and Varun from 'GHKKPM' Share Their Journey with ‘Mayapuri’

Hitesh Bharadwaj and Varun Jain, actors from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, sat down for an exclusive interview with Mayapuri’s journalist, Shilpa Patil. During the conversation, they opened up about their journey on the show, their experiences, and the bond they shared with the star cast. With a leap coming up in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, the storyline of the show is set to change dramatically, introducing new characters. Hitesh and Varun, who have been a part of the show for a while, spoke to Shilpa Patil about their journey, the memories they’ve created, and their deep connection with the fans.

• You've entertained us for a long time, and now this journey is coming to an end. How has this journey been for you, especially with all the love you've received from fans?

Hitesh: Thank you so much for giving so much love to the show. Personally, this journey has been a wonderful experience. I’ve learned a lot from Ghum. It’s always been a rollercoaster ride. We’ve gone through many ups and downs together. It’s the fans who made Rajat and the show what it is. We’re leaving with so many beautiful memories, but yes, I will truly miss my fans.

Varun: The fans have always showered me with love. They used to create reels of the show instantly. I’ve never received negative comments from the fans. I’ve always gotten positive feedback. What’s special is that they’ve connected so deeply with our show and constantly send us their love.

• How much will you both miss Rajat and Aman?

Hitesh: I’ll miss Rajat Thakkar a lot. Initially, I didn’t know how much people would love Rajat. This character is very different from all the ones I’ve played before. I’m portraying a father, and the way my character thinks and speaks is unique. It’s a completely different emotional experience. I’ll tell you something: while playing Rajat, there was a time when I started speaking like him! My parents even had to remind me to stop. You can tell how much we’ll miss each other from the fact that when I came back to my room after a shoot, my team had left flowers, chocolates, and a card for me. That’s when I realized they’ll miss us too.

Varun: Hitesh has done a fantastic job with his character. The entire cast and team have worked incredibly hard to make this show what it is.

• When shows like this air on television and you receive so much love, when your fans make reels and give you endless support, how do you feel?

Varun: When we go out in public, we get so much love from the fans. Especially women, when they come to me, they often ask, "Why did you do that?" even though I’m just playing my character. It feels great to see them connect with the character so deeply, almost as if it’s real. It makes me feel that yes, we’re doing something good, and people really like it. I hope we get this kind of love in our future projects as well.

Hitesh: Very few shows get this kind of love. Our fans stay up all night making edits, and we watch their creations. Sometimes, the edits are so funny that we end up smiling. It feels wonderful to see all that love. Thank you so much for that. I’ll also say this: Before I became popular, no one really asked about me, but now, because of your love, you’ve made me priceless. If we’ve been able to carry forward Ghum's legacy even a little bit, it’s all thanks to you.

• What message would you like to give your fans who have appreciated Rajat and Savi’s love and shown so much affection for these characters?

Hitesh: I just want to say that Rajat and Savi are not going anywhere. They will always be with you. Whenever you want them, they will be there in front of you. The love and support you’ve given us have provided us with an experience like no other, and words can’t express how grateful I am for that.
