New Update

Karan Mehra is not only a television actor but he is also a model and fashion designer. He is best known for playing the character of Naitik Singhania in one of the longest-running Indian television serials, 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. He is also known for playing Sumit Mishra in 'Khatmal E Ishq', and 'Do Phool Ek Maali'. Karan Mehra, one of the highest-paid actors in the Hindi television industry, also participated in Bigg Boss 10. Along with this, many of his music videos have also come. Karan will be seen playing the role of Manoj Aggarwal in Sony TV's upcoming show 'Mehndi Wala Ghar'.

Let us tell you what Karan said about this show.

You are famous in every household as Naitik, which can never be forgotten. So what would you like to say about this new show ‘Mehndi Wale Ghar’?

The story of the show is very good. The story of the show is based on Ujjain. There are four brothers in this story, in which I come third. The name of my character is Manoj Aggarwal and he is the favorite of the family. Manisha has one sister of four brothers and Manoj is her favorite brother. What happens when Manoj leaves the house, why there is a rift in their relationship? Manoj has no idea about what happens in the house after Manoj leaves. He wanted to come home earlier but that could not happen and now when he returns home after 24 years and tries to resolve his complicated relationships, it is a very emotional journey. The story is excellent. There is a lot for me to do in this character, and I hope people like it.

You have worked in Hindi television as well as Punjabi projects, so what do you think before doing any projects? And what is the reason behind doing this show?

For me, it matters that the story is good and that it is real because these days we see a lot of forced drama or negative drama. And I neither like to see this kind of work nor do it. For me, the story of the show, who is making it, what is the production house, who will be the people, on which channel it is coming, all these things matter. I did not get a chance to think so much about this show, a call came and the next day I came for shooting. This show is of Shashi Sumit Production, and they were my neighbors at one time, so I have a special connection with them. He confirmed that I was fit for this character and hence he called me. When he called me, I was in Delhi, I didn't get much time to think, I was shooting a promo on the set within 24 hours.

According to you, what is the special thing about this show?

I think the best thing is that the 25 artists of the show have a very good understanding among themselves. The family in this show is very big, there are people from every generation. There are very good actors in it, it is a lot of fun to work with them. The only hope is that this 'Mehndi Wala Ghar' will find a home in everyone's hearts.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Fans still see him as Naitik. When we were shooting in Ujjain, everyone there was shouting Naitik. There was so much public there that it became difficult for us to shoot. The production people have said that they will take everyone for the outdoor shooting but will not take you (jokingly). I hope that everyone will watch this show and give it the same amount of love. It will air on Sony Entertainment Television from 23rd January at 9:30 pm. This story is very good. This is the story of a joint family, we don't get such values anymore, so you will get to see all this in this, so definitely watch it.
