‘Mannat’ Fame Ayesha–Adnan’s Off-Screen Chemistry Wins Hearts

Actors Ayesha Singh and Adnan Khan from the popular television show ‘Mannat’ spoke candidly with Mayapuri Magazine about their first meeting, their journey of working together, the initial misunderstandings they had about each other, and the fun bonding that developed on the sets. Here’s what they had to say:

How did you both meet for the first time?

Adnan Khan: Our first meeting happened during a mock shoot. At that time, we were both so deeply focused on our work that we didn’t really get a chance to know or understand each other. The first meeting was very simple, but the second one was a little complicated.

What was your first impression of each other?

Ayesha Singh: When I first met Adnan, he seemed very quiet, lost in his own thoughts, and someone who spoke very little. It felt like he stayed within his own world and preferred not to talk much. I thought he was probably very reserved by nature.

Adnan Khan: My first impression of Ayesha was completely different. She appeared very serious, disciplined, and a little strict. I felt she was extremely focused on her work and that there wasn’t much room for fun or jokes on set. Honestly, at that time, we both completely misread each other. But as time passed, that misunderstanding slowly faded. After a few weeks of shooting, I realized that she is actually very funny.

Any memorable incident from the Delhi shoot?

Ayesha Singh: During the Delhi shoot, everyone was a foodie. I used to go out with my friends and enjoy chaat and street food.
Adnan Khan: I’m someone who likes to sleep early. One day, because of all the noise and chaos, my ‘beauty sleep’ got disturbed. It was the very first day of shooting, which is why that incident is still fresh in my memory.

How was your bonding on set?

Adnan Khan: With time, our bonding became very strong. With Ayesha, I feel safe expressing my ‘child-like side’ because she truly respects people and values emotions.

What did you learn from each other?

Adnan Khan: Ayesha taught me that you should never judge a person by their cover.
Ayesha Singh: I found Adnan to be an extremely sensible, honest, and calm person.

How would you describe your bond in one word?

Ayesha Singh: It’s difficult to describe it in just one word.
Adnan Khan (laughing): It’s like an introvert–extrovert friendship.
