The double eviction in Bigg Boss 19 shook the fans! After Polish actress Natalia Janoszek, social media influencer Nagma Mirajkar also had to leave the house. Nagma recently spoke to the media, opening up about her experience, the behavior of her fellow contestants, and her personal life. Here are some excerpts from the conversation:
- Inside the house, viewers thought you and Awez Darbar would play as a couple. Do you think the couple tag affects the game?
To be honest, from the very beginning, we had decided not to play as a couple. I had seen in earlier seasons how playing as a couple often weakens the relationship, because strategy and emotions tend to clash. That’s why we chose to play with our own individual thoughts and plans. Of course, whenever needed, we supported each other, but our opinions were always independent. I believe that if you truly respect your partner, you must also give them their own space.
- What do you think of Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik’s close bond? Could it go beyond friendship?
Tanya is a very bold and free-spirited girl. She even jokes openly, and if she really feels something for someone, she will express it without hesitation. For now, her bond with Amaal Mallik looks like pure friendship to me. They have supported each other, especially Amaal, who stood up for her and earned her respect. But how this relationship evolves will be interesting to watch, because inside the Bigg Boss house, situations change daily. Sometimes such bonds become strong friendships, and sometimes they turn into something else entirely.
- Was your sudden eviction a big shock for you?
Yes, it was a huge shock. I thought someone else would leave after Natalia, but I never imagined it would be me. My health wasn’t good at that time, which might be why I didn’t appear very active. Many times I was speaking up among the housemates, but those moments weren’t shown in the TV episodes. People saw it on the live feed, but in the main episodes, I was made invisible. Maybe that’s why the audience thought I was a weak player, but the truth is I raised my voice in every fight and on every right issue.
- Do you think you were not fit for this show?
Not at all. That perception came only because I wasn’t shouting and screaming. I always tried to resolve things calmly. But in a show like Bigg Boss, being loud gives you more airtime. Despite my health issues, I tried to stay positive. Yes, I realized a bit late that every contestant was playing with their own strategy. If I had gotten a little more time, I could have presented my game more strongly.
- Outside the house, there were talks about Amaal Mallik and Baseer Ali. What’s your take?
During the game, I didn’t realize the depth of their fights. Amaal was always a good friend to us inside, and Awez even called him a brother. But after coming out, when I heard about things like “20 lakhs” and “digital work,” it didn’t feel good at all. Such talks were unnecessary and didn’t keep the show’s environment clean. In my opinion, gossip like this shouldn’t be a part of a respectful game.
- Baseer Ali called Awez Darbar a cheater. Your reaction?
I strongly oppose that. You cannot attack someone’s personality or character based on a game. Awez and I are very clear about our relationship. We were together before, and now we are moving towards marriage. So calling him a “cheater” is not only wrong but also very unfair.
- Do you think sometimes love angles in the Bigg Boss house are deliberately created?
Absolutely, that happens. If you look at Baseer Ali, in the first week his bond was shown with Nehal Chudasama, then with Farhana Bhat, and later with Natalia. Sometimes these connections are real, but mostly they’re strategies to get more screen time and move ahead in the game. The audience also catches on quickly to love angles, which extends their stay in the house. But in my view, true love is the one that exists beyond camera strategies.
- What about the bond between Abhishek Bajaj and Ashnoor Kaur?
They’re very good friends. We often teased them in fun, but they made it clear their relationship is only friendship.
- Tanya and Kunickaa Sadanand’s clash became a major controversy. What’s your take?
See, Tanya can say whatever she wants about her own mother—that’s her personal matter. But when comments are made about someone else’s mother, that crosses a line. Inside the house, we repeatedly requested that no one comment on anyone’s mother. Kunickaa ji crossed that limit several times, which is why the housemates considered her wrong. That’s the reason the whole atmosphere turned against her.
- Some people believe you and Awez became weaker because of the couple tag. Do you agree?
No, not at all. We never played as a couple. We both handled the game with our own strategies and perspectives. If there was any shortfall, it was due to time and screen space, not because of our relationship. Now I want Awez to play for himself as well and show his strong personality. Even after leaving the show, I fully stand by him and want people to recognize him for his game.
- At this point, who should be evicted from the Bigg Boss house, and from whom should Awez maintain distance?
Neelam is currently a bit distracted. If she focuses only on her own game, she will be able to perform much better. As for Awez, he should keep his distance from Amaal.
