How was your journey with Paro Sang Dev?
Honestly, even I couldn’t believe that the show would suddenly go off-air. We received a lot of love for this show. I read all the comments. I felt the show would run for at least a year, so when it ended, it was quite surprising. Still, I am very satisfied with the entire team—directors, producers, actors, everyone. There was never a negative atmosphere on set; we all truly enjoyed working together.
When a show is getting a good response, why does it still go off-air?
To be honest, I don’t know the exact reason either. This hasn’t happened only with us; many shows with good TRPs have also gone off-air. There must be some internal reasons—it’s completely a channel’s decision.

Does a show going off-air affect actors’ personal lives?
Absolutely. Not just actors, the entire team gets shaken. For actors, it’s even more difficult because you get emotionally attached to your character. Then you have to explain to yourself that Paro’s life has ended, and now you must let her go.
What similarities and differences do you see between Paro and your real life?
Paro is very hardworking, honest, and selfless. She does everything for her family. There are many similarities between us. The difference is that I’m not living in an era where I have to completely forget myself. Now I focus more on my own life and career.

What was your reaction when you heard the title Paro Sang Dev?
I first received Paro’s monologue, and I really liked it. Later, I found out that the show’s title was Paro Sang Dev.
Is there any behind-the-scenes moment viewers don’t know about?
There was a scene where I had to climb to the first floor of the set wearing a saree, without any support. That was an actual shot. I climbed up clinging to the wall. The director even recorded a video of it. As soon as the scene ended, everyone left for lunch—and I was still stuck upstairs! Then I asked them to help me come down.

Is it difficult to play similar characters repeatedly?
To some extent, yes. I had to change my language, accent, and even body language. Sometimes it was Rajasthani, sometimes Bihari. At times, I felt I had “ruined” my own language. But as an actor, I enjoy these challenges.
How do you feel when people call you by your character’s name?
I love it. When someone calls me “Paro,” it makes me really happy.

How do you define love?
Love is a very beautiful emotion. Just talking about it brings a smile. But if you take it too seriously, it can harm your career. Maintaining a balance between love and career is very important.
Is your focus now on love or career?
My complete focus is on my career now. I’ve given my hundred percent to love; now it’s time to move ahead.

How was your debut experience with Afwaah?
The film didn’t stay long in theatres, but when my father saw me on the big screen, he believed that I could do something. At that time, I didn’t know much about NSD or theatre—I just played my role honestly.
How was the struggle in the early phase of your career?
Many times, people tell you that you’re not made for this. It happens to everyone. What’s important is to believe in yourself and know what you want.

What is the biggest mantra to connect with the audience?
Play the character truthfully. Don’t overthink—just live the character.
You played Mata Sita on a show for Cuckoo TV. How was that experience?
I have been researching Mata Sita since childhood. It was my dream to play her. But in a vertical format, it’s difficult to show emotions deeply. A subject like Ramayana should be presented with complete authenticity.
