Actress Pragya Jaiswal, who was recently seen in the film’ Khel Khel Mein’, had an exclusive conversation with journalist Shilpa Patil from Mayapuri. During their chat, Pragya opened up about her diet, daily routine, and shared some valuable fitness tips.
What do you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
Currently, my routine isn’t ideal, but usually, I wake up early, which sets a good tone for the rest of the day. However, over the last month or two, my schedule has changed, and now I find it difficult to wake up early, so I often skip breakfast. But if I am home, I prefer having eggs (either omelets or boiled eggs). Sometimes, if I’m not in the mood for eggs, I’ll have Poha, Cheela, Upma, or Oats. I eat whatever is available.
When do you have your last meal?
Normally, I have my last meal by 7:30 PM, but lately, my routine has been disrupted, so now I have dinner around 8:30 or 9 PM.
Are you a morning person or a night person?
I am typically a morning person, but as I mentioned, my routine is off right now, so I’ve become more of a night person.
What’s your favorite meal of the day?
Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day, but since my routine is disrupted, lunch has taken that spot. I usually have a salad and a full meal for lunch.
What’s your favorite food?
I absolutely love Japanese food, especially sushi. But I also enjoy Indian food, as it’s comforting.
What’s your favorite Indian food?
For Indian food, I love everything—biryani, mutton, chicken, and sweets. On cheat days, we go all out and have pizza, burgers, fried rice, and Chinese dishes.
What’s your favorite time to workout?
Morning is the best time for me to workout. I enjoy working out in the morning because it sets a positive tone for the rest of the day, and I feel energized. I don’t work out in the evening, so morning workouts are ideal for me.
Do you have any "strict no-no" foods in your diet?
I don’t have any strict "no-no" foods. My nutritionist advises me to avoid too much-fried food and eating out, but I don’t really enjoy eating out much. I prefer healthy food, and I don’t have an issue with it.
What does cheat day mean to you?
For me, cheat day means cheat days. We don’t count calories on cheat days! If it's Indian food, we indulge in mutton, chicken, biryani, and sweets. If it’s Chinese, we have fried rice, curry, and desserts. We take cheat days seriously and eat whatever we like.
What’s your healthy snack of choice?
Makhana (fox nuts) is my go-to healthy snack.
What’s your favorite street food?
I love Pani Puri and Sev Puri.
Have you made any changes to your diet?
I haven’t made any significant changes to my diet because I’ve always been inclined toward healthy eating. Yes, my nutritionist advises me to avoid too much fried food and eating out, but I’m not particularly fond of those. Most of what I eat is healthy and nutritious.
Any fitness tips for your fans?
I would suggest you do at least 20-30 minutes of physical exercise every day, whatever you prefer. Eat well and eat on time. Drink plenty of water, as it’s great for your health. Also, make sure you get enough sleep—it’s essential for your body.
