The much-awaited show Ae Dil Jee Le Zara is set to premiere soon on Dangal TV. In this show, Richa Rathore plays the lead role, and she recently had an insightful conversation with Shilpa Patil about her character and the show. Here’s what Richa had to say:

Could you tell us a little about your role in the show and what we can expect from it?

Ae Dil Jee Le Zara is a music-based show, set against the backdrop of Lucknow. In the show, my character’s name is Anandhi, and she aspires to become a musician. Personally, I’ve always been fond of music, so playing a character like this is something I truly connect with. This is the first-ever show on TV based entirely on music, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. The cast of the show also includes several senior actors, which is exciting for me.

Will there be a love story in the show? And can you tell us about the chemistry between your character and the male lead?

Yes, there will definitely be a love story in the show. But unlike other shows where the typical pattern is that the boy and girl meet, argue, and then fall in love, this show is different. In Ae Dil Jee Le Zara, Anandhi and Vaibhav are college students who are already in love with each other. Their bond is strong and beautiful. Vaibhav is exactly the kind of guy that every girl dreams of, and their chemistry is something very special.

Previously, you were part of Rab Se Hai Dua, and now you’re in a lead role in this show. How has your journey been so far?

Richa: I’ve always enjoyed roles that are unique and allow me to learn something new. I am very excited about this new journey and the opportunity to learn and grow. This show has given me the chance to explore a new side of acting, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

How have you prepared for your role in this show?

My character, Anandhi, belongs to Lucknow, and she values honesty in her work. For this, I have worked hard to bring authenticity to the role. I’ve tried to understand the nuances of her character to ensure I portray her as truthfully as possible.

What do you find special about this show?

The show’s music-based backdrop is something I absolutely love. It gives the show a unique flavor, and I think the way relationships are depicted in this show is very special. There’s a beautiful bond between all the characters, which makes it very heartwarming to watch.

Could you tell us about Anandhi’s look in the show?

Anandhi’s look is very Indo-western. She comes from a middle-class family, so her clothes are simple, yet very stylish. Personally, I really like the way Anandhi’s look has been designed—it’s very relatable and close to reality.
