Ritwik, Karan & Manvi Discuss 'Half Love Half Arranged' Season 2

The much-awaited second season of Half Love Half Arranged is now streaming on Amazon Mini TV and MX Player. The first season featured Manvi Gagroo and Karan Wahi in the lead roles, but the new season brings Ritwik Dhanjani into the mix. What’s in store for fans this season? How is the chemistry between the actors? The stars of the show — Manvi, Karan, and Ritwik — spoke exclusively with MayaPuri about their experiences and the journey ahead. Here’s what they had to say:

• OTT platforms have grown so much, and with so many options available, how does it feel when audiences love your characters and the new season of your show?

Manvi- It feels amazing! There’s so much content on OTT platforms now, with new shows and films coming out every day. Sometimes, we don’t even realize when a new show releases. But when people like your work and remember it, that’s truly rewarding. I love it when people call me by my character’s name. It means they’ve connected with the character. When people call me Riya or Chanchal, it feels like they’ve become part of that world. It’s beautiful to see that people perceive the character in their way, even if it’s different from how I imagined it.

Karan-  It always feels good when people appreciate your work. The journey from season 1 to season 2 might be influenced by the platform or channel’s perspective, but the real joy comes from the audience’s reactions. Today, through social media, we can quickly know what people like and don’t like. But when people show appreciation for your work, that’s the best feedback an actor can get. In season 1, our goal was to create a show that felt simple and relatable. Nowadays, whenever something from the '90s appears on social media, people say, "It was so sweet, life was so simple back then!" That’s the connection the audience feels with this show.

• Ritwik, you’ve joined the show in season 2. How did that happen and how was the response to your entry?

Karan-Ritwik and I shared a fun moment before joining the show. I had been telling him for a while, "You’re doing comedy, I’m hosting, but you should try acting!" I was a bit disappointed that he wasn’t showcasing his acting skills. I feel that even though we’re both hosts, we can present ourselves as actors too. So, I told him, "It’s time for you to be seen as an actor, not just a host!" And that’s when we both ended up coming together for Half Love Half Arranged Season 2.

Ritwik-  I’ve been a huge fan of the show and Manvi. She is such a brilliant actress! As actors, we crave validation, and we’re already seeing how excited people are about this show. They’re already talking about it, and that’s exciting!

• Manvi, in season 1, your character Riya was very confused, and it seems that confusion will continue in season 2. Can you tell us more about Riya’s character this season?

Manvi-  Yes, Riya’s confusion was central to season 1, and it continues in season 2, but with a new twist. In season 1, Riya had a clear plan — get married, have kids, and live a normal life. But when things didn’t go as planned, she became confused. Now in season 2, the confusion is still there but for different reasons. This time, the confusion is even more complicated, and the audience will see Riya facing new dilemmas. The drama and twists will keep viewers hooked.

• Ritwik has joined this season of Half Love Half Arranged. How did that happen, and what has been the reaction to his joining the show?

Karan- Ritwik and I had already shared a fun moment before. I had been telling him for a long time, “You’re doing comedy, I’m hosting, but you should try acting!” I felt bad that he wasn’t showing his acting skills. • Ritwik, how do you feel about joining the cast of Half Love Half Arranged for season 2?

Ritwik-  I’m thrilled to be part of this show. It’s a stroke of luck for me because I get to work with my friends and some talented actors. The chemistry is fantastic, and I’m enjoying this experience.

• What message would you like to give to your audience ahead of the release of season 2?

Karan-  just want to say, please watch Half Love Half Attached season 2, starting 15th November on Amazon and MX Player. We’ve put in a lot of hard work, and this season promises even more drama, love, and fun! We hope you enjoy it.
