Confessions of Overindulgence: Struggles with Diet and Exercise

You have been a part of the industry for so long and are very fit, do your fans want to know the secret of your fitness?

This is all a lie, I am not fit. I have just eaten plum cake, which was given to me by Surya Pratap Sir and I have also eaten it after asking for a lot. Yesterday also I ate ice cream, before that I had eaten a burger and also pizza. I eat so much and then tell myself that I work so much that is why I eat so much. Everyone works and everyone also follows diets, I do not follow any diet. When I start having stomach pain, I feel that I should control my eating a little. I do a little workout like yoga and stretching, so by the grace of God my metabolism is fine.

Are you one of those people who eat anything but do not gain weight?

Not at all, my weight increases very quickly. If I eat too much, I start having skin issues. I get acne which I can't afford as an actor. My face is already baby face, so fat comes in my face and fat comes in my stomach.

What time do you eat your last meal of the day?

I am trying to eat my last meal before 8 o'clock but sometimes the shoot schedule becomes very heavy or I get hungry at night, so I eat it later.

Are you an early riser or a night owl?

I am a night owl, I can't get up in the morning at all. I may sleep for 12 hours or 15 hours, but if I wake up before 10 o'clock, I feel as if I have not slept or my sleep has not been complete. I am not a morning person at all.

What is your favorite meal of the day?

I love breakfast.

What is your favorite cuisine?

Indian and Asian

According to you, what is the best time to work out?

I think I would prefer the evening time after pack-up. Because if I work out in the morning, I get tired anyway. So after my morning workout, I won't have the energy to shoot for 12 hours the whole day.

Is there anything you don't eat at all?

Sugar, by the way, I just told you that I have eaten. If I eat too much I get acne. Till Diwali, I was very strict about my diet but after that, I kept eating. Now I will try to be strict about my diet.

What is your favorite healthy munching?

My house-help Didi makes laddus with dry fruits I like them a lot. I have a lot of sugar cravings either because of stress or because of shooting heavy scenes. Didi also makes jaggery roti, I like that very much.

What is your favorite street food?

What do you like to eat on your cheat days?

Every day has been a cheat day since Diwali. My cheat day will consist of something sweet like pastries, chocolates, and cakes. I can eat so much sugar that if I don't get anything sweet to eat, I take out a spoonful of sugar from the sugar box and eat it. I like sweet food very much.

If you had to give any tips to your fans, what would you give?

It's not that I eat a lot but I have a sweet tooth. I think there should be a balance. Sugar is something that should be avoided and by avoiding it you will feel a lot of change in your health. I feel that eating pulses, rice, roti, vegetables, and ghee is fine. You eat good proteins, spinach, and quinoa. There is no need to be too strict with my diet, I don't think I will be able to be too strict with my diet.
