Rohan Mehra Supports Ashnoor Kaur in Bigg Boss, Advises Her to Play Smart

Popular television actress Ashnoor Kaur is currently winning hearts inside the Bigg Boss house with her simplicity, maturity, and honesty. Having made her mark on television since childhood, Ashnoor is now leaving her impression in the world of reality TV as well. Recently, Bigg Boss fame and well-known actor Rohan Mehra opened up in an exclusive conversation about Ashnoor’s personality, her game, and also shared his views on the changing trends and strategies of the show. When and how did your friendship with Ashnoor begin?

She’s like my sister. She has been tying me a rakhi for the last 11 years. We first met on the show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She was playing Pihu’s sister, and I was opposite Pihu. That’s where our bonding started. Later, during the shoot of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, our bond grew even stronger. Since then, we’ve been very close.

What was your reaction when you found out Ashnoor got the Bigg Boss offer?

The last time she came to tie me rakhi, she told me about the offer. I clearly told her that it’s a good show, but I wouldn’t recommend it for her, because I didn’t want to see my sister in that kind of environment. It’s a very different show — it can make or break someone. If someone is already doing well in their career, Bigg Boss can sometimes backfire.

Did you give her any advice before she entered the show?

Yes, I shared my experience with her. I told her — if you go, stay real, but also play the game. In Bigg Boss, honesty alone doesn’t work; you also need smart gameplay. Speaking of the show, she’s handling herself very well and is exactly the same person inside the house as she is in real life.

How do you see Ashnoor’s performance in the show so far?

She’s doing amazing. In the very first week, she was given responsibility for the house — that itself speaks volumes. At 21, being the youngest contestant and still managing the house shows her maturity and leadership. She’s playing the game very sensibly.

There’s a lot of talk about Ashnoor and Abhishek Bajaj’s bond. What’s your take?

I know both of them. They’re just good friends. But when viewers see a genuine connection between two people on screen, they start viewing it differently. The truth is, they’re simply good friends — and that’s clearly visible in the show.

Some say Ashnoor doesn’t fall under anyone’s influence. Is that true?

Absolutely. She’s playing her own game. She has her own opinions and decisions. She doesn’t live in anyone’s shadow, and I’m very proud of her for that.

Many contestants have been evicted recently. Do you think eliminations are purely based on voting?

Look, if you’re giving “masala” (entertainment) to the show, you won’t be evicted. For example, Kunickaa Sadanand Ma’am created a lot of buzz in the first week, so she stayed. Voting does happen, but creativity and content play a big role. If you’re not providing enough content, you can be out — even with good votes.

According to you, who are the strongest players this season?

Apart from Ashnoor, I think Amaal and Abhishek are very strong. Amaal might look negative, but from a game perspective, he’s playing well. Tanya Mittal is also quite smart — she lies intentionally to create topics, and that’s the real Bigg Boss strategy.

What’s your opinion on Gaurav Khanna and the other contestants?

Gaurav Khanna has potential, but he isn’t doing much. In Bigg Boss, you need both friendship and rivalry. If you don’t clash with anyone, you go unnoticed. Like Abhishek — he has some kind of angle or interaction with everyone, and that’s why he stands out.

Who do you see in the Top 5?

According to me, the Top 5 could be Ashnoor Kaur, Abhishek Bajaj, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, and maybe Nehal Chudasama. But I’ll say this — Ashnoor now needs to play the game. The real ones often get evicted early. If she wants to win, she’ll have to play smart.
