This marks their first appearance as mentors on TV. They will not only guide the singers with their musical knowledge but also help them hone their craft. Sachin-Jigar shared their experiences and insights with Maya Puri, discussing what’s new in this season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and their experiences on the set. Sachin-Jigar Share Insights on 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' Season 2024 What are your thoughts on the show and how has your experience been with the other mentors? Jigar- I’m extremely excited about the show. We’re friends with Guru, Sanchet-Parampara, and everyone on set. The atmosphere is full of fun and enthusiasm. We hope to bring a fresh perspective to ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. We’ve been watching this show since childhood, and now we’re judging it—it feels like a dream come true.Sachin- I believe ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is redefining itself this season. Known for its singing, the show is now focusing more on performance. This time, the contestants are dressed differently and are using the stage in a more dynamic way, engaging directly with the audience. We’re fortunate to witness such talent. You’ve given many new talents a chance. Will we see the same in this show? Sachin- I’d say that we didn’t have any connections in the industry when we started, nor did our families have ties to it. But the industry welcomed us with open arms and gave us opportunities. Now it’s our turn to give back. There’s no better platform than ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ to showcase and discover talent. What are your expectations from the contestants? Jigar- We expect them to have a good understanding of music and to respect their craft and mentors. As Sachin says, “Keep your shoulders light.” They should come with a desire to learn because the world of music is vast and learning never ends. As long as you have the hunger to learn, you can progress. We hope to see talented contestants who sing well, not only for the show but also for a successful career afterward. You were behind the scenes before, and now you’re on national television. How different is it to be in front of the camera? Sachin-Jigar and I believe in doing everything with passion. If Jigar doesn’t like something, he says it straightforwardly, and I’m the same. Regarding the show, it’s been kept very real this time. Even if we don’t always agree with the other mentors, we enjoy each other’s company. Our job is to guide the singers in the right direction. We’re learning a lot from this show as well. While Jigar focuses on his looks, I’m learning to present myself attractively through this show. What would you like to say to your audience? Sachin- Please continue to show us your love. Our journey is incomplete without you. “Tu mera koi na ho ke bhi kuch lage.” ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ premieres today on Zee TV at 9 PM. Besides Sachin-Jigar, the show will also feature Sanchet-Parampara and Guru Randhawa as mentors.
