Now that you are out of ‘The 50’, how was your overall experience on the show?
My journey was very short. When Vikrant and I were selected for the show, we learned about the other couples as well and thought we would make new friends. We understood that we might not connect with all 50 people, but I hoped to bond with at least a few. However, once we entered the house, I felt that many contestants had brought their friendships and conflicts from outside. Because of that, I couldn’t really blend in.

You had said that you would treat people the way they treated you. Did that strategy work?
Pre-planned strategies don’t always work in such shows. You have to react according to situations. When we entered, two teams had already been formed. Surviving itself became the biggest challenge. We played according to circumstances. I believe whatever I did was right, and Vikrant played a strong game as well.

Many felt that you contributed more to Vikrant’s journey. Do you agree?
No, absolutely not. If someone feels that way, they probably didn’t watch the show properly. We both played according to our game plan. There was nothing like one person being the mastermind. We played as per the strategy we made together.
Why did you have differences with Digvijay Singh Rathee?
From the beginning, Digvijay kept nominating Vikrant. I felt he didn’t have a clear stand of his own. Even during his conflict with Rajat, he didn’t openly express his views. I couldn’t understand his game plan. It seemed like he was targeting a strong player.

Do you think Rajat Dalal raising his hand was justified?
Absolutely not. Raising a hand on someone can never be justified. It is completely wrong. Yes, reality shows are edited and the entire truth may not be shown, but misbehavior or violence is unacceptable in any situation. I am strongly against any form of misconduct.
What is your opinion on the discussions around Rajat and Chahat Pandey’s equation in the house?
I clearly said she is an actress and her family is watching from outside. Making such comments is wrong. It is not right to demean any girl. I am completely against that.

There was also controversy over taking Elvish Yadav’s name on the show. Was it for TRP?
We are not aware of TRPs. We go there to play our game. If someone’s name was taken in anger, that might be wrong, but I don’t think it affects his respect. He has built his identity and fan base over the years.

There were separate alliances of actors and influencers in the house. Did you see that as discrimination?
I don’t understand such discrimination. For me, we are all artists—whether someone makes reels or acts. Everyone has their own identity and has worked hard for it. Everyone should get an equal opportunity in the game and be judged on talent, not on their background.

Did you feel that the ‘Bhojpuri’ tag led to different treatment?
I belong to the Bhojpuri industry and have done around 200 films there. I come from a regional background, but I have also been working in television for the last seven years. I couldn’t understand why I was being sidelined. I did feel discrimination and kept wondering why it was happening. In the initial days, when teams were formed, ten would be TV and reality show artists while the other ten were influencers. We barely got a chance to play. Their alliances were already strong, so it was difficult for us to create our space. We had to struggle a lot to establish ourselves. Eventually, Vikrant got an opportunity, that too after facing strong opposition from Rajat Dalal and Adnaan Shaikh. Once he proved himself, he slowly started getting recognition.
If you had to join one team, which would you choose?
I didn’t want to join any team. But Prince Narula’s team saved me twice, so if I had to choose, maybe I would have formed an alliance there.
Whom did you want to see in the Top 2?
Of course, I wanted to see my husband Vikrant there. But if not Vikrant, then Kaka.
