The show stars Chhavi Mittal, Karan Veer Grover, Prachi Chauhan, Pooja Gaur, and Shubhangi Litoriya in lead roles. Chhavi and Prachi recently spoke exclusively to MayaPuri, sharing their thoughts about the show’s concept, their characters, and their journey with Colors. You both are making a comeback on TV after a long time with this new show. What would you like to say about your return and the concept of the show? Chhavi- Our show is coming on Colors TV, and I think it’s a progressive decision both for Colors and for us. Through Colors, we are reaching a new platform, and in return, Colors is getting a fresh and unique concept that hasn't been seen on TV before. It’s an experiment, but it’s a safe one because we’ve been doing this on SIT (YouTube) for 9 years, and we’ve received millions of likes and views. Some episodes have even crossed 100 million views. Now, we’re moving to a bigger platform, so we’re hopeful that we’ll perform even better than before. Paracheen- I’m really excited about the show, but I’m also nervous. I just hope and pray that people like this content, so that we can bring more new content for our audience in the future. The show is called Pati, Patni Aur Baby. What’s the story about, and how do you both plan to connect with the audience through it? Chhavi- The show is about the relationship between a husband and wife. The kinds of fights and disagreements that happen between couples are universal, whether in India or abroad. For example, the issues that a couple in the US fights about are the same as those in India. The show features two couples: Rishi-Rohini and Abhimanyu-Meera. These couples have unique dynamics, and we explore this in the show. But when we bring these four characters together, something new and interesting emerges. We also add a comic touch to it, which is quirky and sometimes eccentric. People might think "Baby" means a child, but in our show, "Baby" is actually our maid. When viewers watch the show, they’ll be able to relate to it, whether it's the things our maid does or the funny situations they’ve seen with their own maids or helpers. There will also be moments that will make viewers go, "Who does that?" This relatability will be the USP of the show. Can you tell us a bit about the characters you play in the show? Paracheen- My character in the show is named Abhimanyu. My wife’s name is Meera. The other couple in the show is Rishi and Rohini. In a previous series, Rishi and Rohini were depicted as a couple where the husband was naive and the wife was bossy. But in this show, the dynamic is different. I play a smart husband, Abhimanyu, who understands his wife Meera very well. He even helps other husbands understand their wives better. Chhavi- In this show, I play Rohini, the wife in the other couple. Rishi is a 6-foot-tall man who is terrified of his wife’s scolding. But in reality, he loves his wife and family a lot. On the other hand, Rohini is a perfectionist. She wants everything in her life to be perfect—her child, her home, everything. Abhimanyu’s character is quite expressive, and when viewers watch the show, they’ll probably relate more to Rishi’s character and might even want to be like Abhimanyu. Until now, people have seen you in short clips on social media platforms, but now you’ll be seen on a bigger platform. What would you like to say about that? Chhavi- Both Prachi and I started our careers in TV. Later, Mohit and I started creating content on YouTube (SIT). That’s when we gained a lot of love from our fans, and we continue to receive it. When a fan approaches us for a photo, it makes us realize how far we’ve come. We first got love through TV, then YouTube, and now we’re back on TV. Now we’ll get love from both our old TV audience and our YouTube followers, so we’re expecting double the love! What would you like to say to your fans? Paracheen- Please shower us with lots of love and support. I hope this show becomes a success, not only for us but also for Colors. Chhavi- As content creators, we always want our content to be loved by as many people as possible. We hope that our content resonates with a wide audience. We really appreciate all the love you’ve given us so far, and we hope you’ll continue to support us. The show will air on Colors TV starting November 18, at 5:30 PM. Previously, Pati, Patni Aur Baby was a YouTube series, and it already has millions of followers there.
