Sanchet-Parmpara Share Journey from Contestant to Judge
- This season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa features all new mentors. What would you like to say about this?
"In today’s world, there’s a search for new voices and new styles. This season, we have new mentors who bring a fresh perspective to judging. I believe that this time, the singers will not only learn how to sing but also how to command the stage. They will understand how to express themselves and perform effectively. Many people will be watching, curious to see how far these singers will go."
- You mentioned that this project feels like a ‘homecoming’ for you. Could you elaborate on that?
‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is an iconic show, and being part of such a show comes with its own set of responsibilities. When you’re given the opportunity to be associated with this show, there’s an expectation that you will always strive to be better. It was a matter of great pride for me to get this project. ‘Zee’ is the channel where I first participated in ‘India’s Best Cine Star Ki Khoj,’ and where I hosted my first reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.’ Now, I’m back to hosting it again. However, the responsibility remains the same as it was back then. An anchor's role is to convey the atmosphere of the set to the audience. I can’t just stick to reading lines from a script."
- The format and talent of the show are different this time. Can you explain this?
"All singers have a common foundation, but what sets them apart is what new elements they bring. Nowadays, you can present yourself in new ways. Earlier, there weren’t as many platforms for people to showcase their talent, but now, you can reach audiences from anywhere. Social media allows you to share your music and receive immediate feedback. Many stars have risen this way, including Sanchet-Parampara, Sachin-Jigar, and Guru Randhawa, who have all made their mark on digital media, whether through playback or live performances."
- What has your experience been like with mentors Sachin-Jigar, Sanchet-Parampara, and Guru Randhawa?
"It might be a bit early to make definitive statements, but I already feel a familial atmosphere on set. I believe that having emotions as an artist is crucial for delivering a good performance. The current environment on set is such that whenever someone brings food, they wait for a break so that everyone can enjoy it together. This sense of camaraderie is coming naturally to everyone, and no one is holding back their emotions."
- What would you like to say to the audience?
"I would like to tell the audience to continue giving their love as they have in the past. I am hosting ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ once again, and you will be able to feel my style and emotions not just on screen but off it as well. Don’t forget to watch the show starting September 14 at 9 PM on Zee TV."
Vipul has also played the role of Bhola Pandit in the popular TV show ‘FIR’ and has acted in the Punjabi feature film ‘What the Jatt.’
