Iran's short film "Open Season" was awarded the Best Short Film Award at this year's 19th Third Eye Asian Film Festival.

The 19th Third Eye Asian Film Festival of 2022 was held during the week of December 12 to 18, 2022. at P.L. Deshpande Academy , Prabhadevi, Mumbai.The closing ceremony of the festival 'Deputy Secretary of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department Smt. It was held in the presence of Vidya Waghmare.A large number of feature and short film entries were received in this festival from different languages and countries like Iran, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, United States, Bangladesh, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Konkani, Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi, English. Out of that, 35 feature films and 30 short films were screened in this festival.

Among the short films in this festival, Iran's short film 'Open Season' directed by Mohammad Hassani was conferred with the best short film award. The second prize was awarded to the Marathi short film 'Mogra' directed by Mayur Dhamapurkar. The Iranian short film 'Red Pen', directed by Mohammad Abbasi, was awarded the Jury's Special Award. Meena Karnik and director Prakash Kunte served as the jury.
