IRRFAN KHAN TO STAR IN NEW WEB SERIES BY AIB AND AMAZON PRIME VIDEO IN 2018

Considered to be one of the versatile actors in the industry, Irrfan Khan is teaming up with Amazon Prime Video for a political satire called The Ministry.  The show is set in contemporary India’s corridors of power and the actor will be seen playing a washed up, narcissistic Bollywood actor who is unwittingly appointed as a placeholder culture minister. Despite a crippling bureaucracy, political gaffes, and a team of misfits, he yearns to be loved by the masses once again.

Gursimran Khamba of All India Bakchod fame is the show’s creator. AIB and the team members shared the big news on their official twitter accounts.

Talking about the show, Amazon Prime Video India head of content Vijay Subramaniam said, “After a phenomenal response to our licensed comedy shows, we are excited to launch our very own Amazon Original in the comedy space. We are further strengthening our offering by collaborating with the best content creators of the genre and roping in one of the most versatile Indian actors with massive global appeal.”
