IRRFAN KHAN STATEMENT ON WINNING THE FILMFARE AWARD

It was a star-studded Bollywood night at the 63rd Jio Filmfare awards with some thrilling dance performances and emotional speeches said by the winning actors.

Irrfan khan is always known for his best and hardwork for movies and at 63rd Jio filmfare award and he was awarded for the Best actor in a leading role Male category for his outstanding performance. This is the second award Irrfan Khan has won for Hindi Medium after Star Screen Awards.

The movie Hindi medium is produced under Maddock films and T-Series banner which also received award for the 'Best film (Popular)' category. The film is about the Inferiority that stems from Hindi-medium schooling.

"Hindi Medium is very close to my heart and I wish to keep telling stories like these for the audience. When you believe in your work the world also believes along with you. It is good to know that the stories you believe in is what the audiences is also looking for. It’s time for change and I am glad there is acceptance to this change."

Unfortunately, Irrfan Khan couldn't be present at the awards night as he had to fly for the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of his international movie 'Puzzle'.

Puzzle is a movie about a suburban mother who discovers a passion for solving jigsaw puzzle which opens up her to some new unexpected world. The movie is directed by Marc Turtletaub.
