IRRFAN KHAN'S 'NO BED OF ROSES' HEADS TO EGYPT!

Ever since he set foot in the industry, Irrfan Khan has not just bowled us over with his acting prowess but also startled us with his versatility. There isn't anything that can stop the actor from getting better with every frame. Therefore, it will come as no surprise that yet another film of Irrfan Khan is getting acknowledged and appreciated at the International Film Festivals. Bollywood Hungama confirmed the news that, Mostafa Sarwar's No Bed Of Roses-Doob starring Irrfan Khan in the lead has been selected for the main competition at the El Gouna Film Festival, which is going to run from September 22 to 29 in Egypt.

No Bed of Roses will compete against some of the strongest titles in the world of cinema this year. The film is one out of the only two South Asian titles to be showcased in the competition this year; the other being Anurag Kashyap's directorial Mukkabaaz.

No Bed of Roses has Bangladeshi and Indian actors in lead roles. Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Parno Mittra will be seen in lead roles besides Irrfan Khan. The film is a joint venture between Bangladesh and India and it is also co-produced by Irrfan Khan. No Bed of Roses has already garnered rave reviews from world media. It has also previously bagged Independent Jury Prize at the Moscow International Film Festival and was nominated for Golden Goblet Awards at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

Talking about this new development, Irrfan told Bollywood Hungama, “Doob shining at so many prestigious festivals is a huge honor and boost for us and the filmmakers. It’s great to see how festivals of various parts of the world are giving so much love to it. We couldn’t be happier.” Other than El Gouna, it has also been selected for Asia’s top festival Busan and Canada’s Vancouver International Film Festival. Production sources informed there are some more festival selections coming the film’s way.
