Ismail Darbar launches a scathing attack on Arijit Singh & Badshah

Music Director Ismail Darbar who has worked on the music score for blockbusters like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, etc spoke on a myriad of things including music composition, life, family, and new-age singers with RJ Farhan in an interview - Jyothi Venkatesh

When asked about his current favorite singer by the RJ, Ismail said, “Mera favorite hai Arijit Singh, but uska dimaag kharab ho chuka hai! Jyaada banawati dikhne laga hai woh.”

Adding further he said “Usko aisa lagta hai ki mujhe ab kisiki jarurat nahi hai. Par aisa nahi hai. Bade bade log khatm ho gaye hain yahan par. Meri baat sunega toh life mai achha hi hoga."

RJ Farhan also asked Ismail Darbar his opinion on current singers including rapper Badshah about whom Darbar said, "Bacchon ke liye gimmick hai yeh sab. I don't call it music. It's playing with words and I am sure even Badshah is aware of the same."

The chat concluded with the multiple award-winning music directors urging all the playback singing aspirants to work harder to achieve their goals in life.
