Vivek Anand Oberoi's 9 looks from the film PM Narendra Modi is out now. These different looks depict the phases, struggles, and passion of this common man. This film will traverse the journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi from his humble beginnings to becoming the Prime Minister of India. This film is a story of 1.3 billion people.

Says the highly dedicated actor Vivek Oberoi , who likes to call himself Vivek Anand Oberoi,  " I used to get up 2.30 am in the morning each day to go under the process of a rigorous 7 to 8 hours make up and was on the set by 8 am ready to shoot. Due to prosthetics, I can only consume liquids throughout the duration of the shoot (in a day)."

Vivek adds, “On the sets of the film, my transformation from being just Vivek Anand Oberoi to Narendra Damodardas Modi was so complete that I started behaving like the character even when the camera was not on. So startling and complete was my physical and emotional transformation that the members of the unit who knew me pretty well were taken aback. I should confess that my central role as Narendra Damodardas Modi has been the most satisfying role in my career as an actor till date."

"I wanted a versatile actor to play this role, and cast Vivek who had made an unconventional debut with Company and also gave Saathiya in the same year. I wanted the actor to give me one year of his life before the shoot begins because the film’s range from the year 1957 to 2019 in order to understand the journey. Vivek gave 15 look tests that needed 7-8 hours of make up each day. When an actor shows such dedication for the film, the filmmaker and the whole crew are extremely enthusiastic and encouraged to make the film," says producer, Creative Director and story writer and also playback singer Sandeep Ssingh

Vivek, who plays the central character in the film, has also tweeted. “There are very powerful people who have left no stone unturned and approached courts through their lawyers. They can obstruct us briefly but they won’t be able to stop us or deter us. Yes, the release of our film has had to be postponed from the original date of April 5 to a later date but we are very firm in our resolve to release our film on April 11 this month”.

Why is the film Prime Mnister Narendra Modi being released on a non Thursday? Is it because the producers do not want their film’s release to clash with the release of Karan Johar’s ambitious film Kalank which is being released on Wednesday April 17? Says Ssandeep Singh, “We would not deny that Kalank is a big film. It is also releasing on Wednesday, a week after the release of our film. We are very particular that our film gets at least a week of clear run before Kalank takes over. And hence felt that releasing our film on Thursday would be a more financially viable decision than opening on a conventional Friday”. Sandeep Ssingh also adds. “”We are very confident that things will work in our favor.”

What can’t be missed here is that the first phase of the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls are also scheduled for April 11. In the meanwhile, Satish Sugriv Gaekwad, who has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, has now filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court against the film with the help of his counsel, Tosif Sheikh, seeking a total ban on its exhibition for now.

The film has actor Vivek Anand Oberoi in and as ‘PM Narendra Modi’, along with actors like Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Sengupta, Anjan Shrivastav, Yatin Karyekar, Rajendra Gupta, Akshat R Saluja, Jimesh Patel and Darshan Kumaar in important roles.

Produced by Suresh Oberoi, Anand Pandit, and Acharya Manish, the film is directed by biopic maestro Omung Kumar. The biopic has been shot across the country in a period of around 38 days. The producers are worried because a lot is riding on what the Supreme Court decides but they are sure that justice will prevail with their film.

Sandeep Singh says, “Thye film was due for release on April 5 as planned but until April 4, it did not have a CBFC clearance. We were asked to make three cuts and submit again for verification. We can shoot a film in 38 days, but everything else takes its own time. Plus, there are rules and regulations to be followed for a film to be passed by the Board. We are following everything and hopefully, we will now be able to release our film on the date that we have finalized.”

Sandeep Ssingh signs off. “We have put in a lot of hard work. We are literally fighting our way to the cinemas People are trying their best to stop this film from being exhibited in the country. I do not understand why a film, based on a human story, can make so many people, including some national political leaders run so scared.”
