It is scary how some individuals and institutions send their conscience on a vacation even during a world crisis like a pandemic and a lockdown being declared in a country.

Now, take what is happening in the world of net films and web series which have been accepted as a way of life by some families, especially middle-class families and younger people. The demand has been so strong that Apps like ALT Balaji, MX Player, Kooku, Ullu have been doing better business than film production companies.

But, what content are they providing to their viewers? Nothing but blatant stories about sex with vulgar scenes, nudity galore and nothing left to the imagination, and what is more shocking is that these blue as blue can be so called films are not censored.

It seemed like all was well till the lockdown was declared and men, women and children were huddled up in their homes and had nowhere to go. They were forced to find ways to pass time and one common way was to watch Tv and the various channel and the mobile and millions of people got addicted to their Tv sets and mobiles. And watching porn and these web series and other sex shows became a common way to pass time shockingly even among children and no one seemed to care.

There were many such shockingly sexy web series screened during the lockdown, but among the most shocking ones which crossed all limits were XXX2 from Alt Balaji, Naked from MX Players, Woh Teacher from Ullu app, Charmsukh from Kooku app and Gandi Baat from Alt Balaji and many other videos and web series from HotShots app.

This is the third week of the lockdown and these grand shows are still going strong in several homes and school-going and college-going children are watching them.

There are worried parents and child psychologists who are worried about the future of the children and youth who get addicted to these new kinds of shows and strongly feels that there should be some way of finding a solution to cut down the risk of these films without curtailing the freedom of expression of its makers.

Could bringing in the censors help?
