“It is truly the best thing”- Actress Helly Shah on 'Zibah' getting qualified for the Oscars!

Actress Helly Shah recently announced that her film Zibah is ‘one of the top three films from India to get a theatrical screening in LA and is eligible for Oscar qualification. The actor tweeted the announcement and currently feels amazing.

The talented actress plays a Kashmiri girl in the movie. The tale of a mother and daughter who shares a strong emotional connection found in Zibah. The film demonstrates how to work together to end the pervasive and harmful community practice known as "Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)". FGM refers to any harm to the female genital organs, including partial or total removal of the external female genitalia for non-medical reasons.

Playing a powerful character as such, Helly Shah yet again proved her caliber for being an actor who posses nothing but utmost brilliance. Talking about this milestone, Actress Helly Shah shares, "I was thrilled and honored to be a part of this spectacular film. We shot the movie in January and by end of December 2021 nobody anticipated that it would be eligible for an Oscar. Every action is a major accomplishment. My family was ecstatic to hear this news. Fans have been pouring their immense love and support. My DMS have been flourishing with good luck messages. It is truly the best thing."

Helly Shah’s 2022 has been a wonderful one. Her feature film Kaya Palat was screened at the Cannes Film festival amongst dignitaries around the world. Whereas her, middas touch continues as Zibah too achieves a milestone for it’s Oscar qualification.
