The incident had taken place at a department store after Arora picked up some items and also ordered for a hotdog. According to Ansh, “I gave Rs 2,000 to the store staff and my bill was about Rs 1,500. I had also ordered a hotdog. The staff told it would take 30-45 minutes to prepare it, so I asked them to cancel. However, they billed me for it. On pointing this out, an altercation broke out inside the store. My brother who was waiting in the car outside later came and took me away from the store,” he added. We have come to know now that Ansh was actually booked under Section 151 of the Criminal Procedure Code and produced before a magistrate where he was granted bail. Later, he had to be admitted to a hospital in Vaishali. It was then that he had posted a complaint to NHRC, the Prime Minister’s office, UP chief minister and director general of police (UP). The Ghaziabad police, however, have denied all the charges. According to Shlok Kumar, superintendent of police (city), “The suspect had vandalized the property inside the store. The suspect was brought to the police station and was not subjected to any assault. He was booked under 151 of the Cr PC and taken to a government hospital for medical examination, before being produced before an executive magistrate. He was granted bail and allowed to go home.” The shop owner, according to Bombay Times, says, “Within five minutes of being told that the hotdog will take some time to arrive, the man started telling, “Mujhko aankhen dikha raha hain “ at our staff and started vandalizing the store. Though he got away that day and we could not call the cops, the next day when he came back, we immediately dialed 100. We are not sure but it seemed like he was definitely on something”.
