JAGGA JASOOS SEQUEL DROPPED, THANKFULLY

When Jagga Jasoos hit the theatres, people were excited and intrigued to know what took the movie so long. The wait was certainly not worth it because the movie disappointed the audience to the extent that it angered them.
For all those who’ve watched the film (and for those who haven’t, we are saving your precious time by telling you so!) know that Anurag Basu kept an open ending for the film and intended to make a sequel of the same, if it managed to be a massive success at the box office. What transpired next is known to all of us.
While the producers claim that the film is ‘growing’ after having a mild start at the weekend, the exhibitors and distributors are prepared for yet another debacle because the film hasn’t managed to strike the right chord with the audience. A leading daily reports that the idea of having a sequel was dropped even before the film released. What Anurag Basu had written as an ongoing series will only remain as one particular film because the audience’s response hasn’t been ‘encouraging enough’.
That’s a rather clever decision to take and we couldn’t be agreeing anymore about it!
