Jodhpur based Film Producer Om Chhangani to be honored with Pride of Rajasthan Award at RIFF 2021

The 7th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) accredited by the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI) (North Region) will be organized by the RIFF Film Club in a Hybrid Format from 20 to 24th March 2021 in Jaipur and Jodhpur, Rajasthan - India.

The Pride of Rajasthan Award this year will be given to the Film Producer of Jodhpur, Mr. Om Chhangani

This year the theme for the RIFF 2021 is "Music in Cinema". RIFF 2021 will also celebrate the Pre Foundation Day of Rajasthan.

The Founder, Director and CEO of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) Mr. Sommendra Harsh said that the Pride of Rajasthan Award at the 7th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) this year will be given to the Film Producer of Jodhpur, Mr. Om Chhangani.

The Pride of Rajasthan Award like every year is given in RIFF to such a personality of the film world whose roots are associated with Rajasthan and has achieved fame in National & International Cinema.

The Pride of Rajasthan Award at the Rajasthan International Film Festival was initiated in 2015 where the film actor Prashantt Guptha was awarded the same. In 2016 Manish Mundra, Founder (Drishyam Films).

In 2017 Priti Rathi Gupta, Founder (Ishka Films). In 2018 Film Director, Sawan Kumar Tak. In 2019 , Actor Ashish Sharma and in 2020 Film Producer Gulab Singh Tanwar was honored with this award.

Om Chhangani is the producer of the film "Mr. Kabaadi" Directed by Seema Kapoor and the Marathi film "Prawaas" starring artists like Padmini Kolapure and Ashok Saraf.

he Marathi film Prawaas was also selected in the 51st International Film Festival of India’s (IFFI) Indian Panorama and was felicitated with Red Carpet and honour before the screening of the film in the festival held in Goa.

Apart from this, Om Changani is also the producer of the short film FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) directed by Shashank Udapurkar.

Jodhpur based Om Chhangani apart from a Film Producer is a businessman as well. Om Changani is the founder of "Om Air", one of the Leading Hydrogen Gas Supplier.

The Festival Founders and Directors Somendra Harsh and Anshu Harsh stated that "The 7th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) will be held from 20 to 24 March 2021 in a Hybrid Format i.e. Virtually and Physically in Jaipur and Jodhpur.

The Opening Ceremony of the Rajasthan International Film Festival like the previous year will be held at the Open Theater of the Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur on 20th March 2021.

Thereafter Film screenings, Open Forums, Talk Shows and much more will be held for the next four days from 21 to 24 March 2021 in Jodhpur along with the Closing Ceremony, the grand RIFF Award Night 2021 which will be held in Jodhpur on 24 March 2021".

Entries are invited for the Short, Documentary, Animation, Feature, Regional, Rajasthani, and Music Albums for the 7th Edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) 2021.

The films can be submitted at www.riffjaipur.org and also through FilmFreeWay. The Last deadline to submit the films is 28th February 2021.
