The jodi of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham in movies like Garam Masala, Desi Boyz, Housefull 2 was one of the greatest hit of its time. And now once again the actors proved that they are not just limited to working but also a good friend in need. Akshay who is auctioning his naval costume which he had worn in Rustom have been served with legal notice and is accused of "playing with the sentiments" of the armed forces.
Giving support to his actor friend, John said that he stands by Akshay Kumar's decision.
John Abraham will be seen in the upcoming movie Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran which was going through a lot of controversies but now the team has finally locked a release date.
While talking about the controversy, "We are not here to throw mud on anybody’s face, we want to keep the controversy aside. We are confident about the film and the subject that we have chosen.”
"It was about our credibility and we had to stand for what we believed in. I think we have indicated for what we stood. We fought our way out and we are here today, standing with the story that we always wanted to tell, the film that we made is here," the actor added.
When John was asked about his take on Akshay kumar and Twinkle Khanna Naval costume auction controversy, he said, "I am not going to be politically correct but I stand by him."
"Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran" is now set to arrive in theatres on May 25.
