JOHNNY JOKER NAHI HAI , JOHNNY ZINDAGI KI JAAN HAI By Team Bollyy 13 Aug 2021 | Updated On 13 Aug 2021 15:00 IST in Ali Peter John New Update Follow Us Share I have known Johnny Lever for as long as he says he is a part of the film industry(thirty years) - and I even know him from his days in Dharavi, Antop Hill and all the open spaces on the streets of Mumbai where he started life as a mimicry artist - Ali Peter John I must have met him for the first time when he was doing his first feature film called "Jalwa" with Naseeruddin Shah in the key role. He was so good as a comic artist that I think Naseer will understand when I say that Johnny took away some of the scenes from right under his “small eyes” which were once considered a drawback to make it as a big actor or a star... That one role in “Jalwa” made Johnny one of the most wanted comedians in every kind of film and he didn't have to make efforts to let the world know how good a comedian he was. A time came when he was marked out as one of the major highlights of the film he did and he gave both the filmmaker and the audience their money's worth. He however did not give up doing his one - man shows not only in India but in different parts of the world. His comedy was always a feast for the entire family and the only time he got into serious trouble was when he made fun of the national flag in a light hearted way in one of his shows in the gulf for which he was arrested and had to spend a few nights in Arthur Road jail. He never made the same mistake again and his comedy was still the delight of the hearts of millions. He was the uncrowned king of comedy till he was "visited" by Jesus Christ who asked him to dedicate his life to spread his word and Johnny went to the extent of cutting down on his film assignments to serve his "Lord and Master Jesus Christ” who blessed him with the power to heal people spiritually and physically. Stories about the miracles he has worked are legion, but the story I heard him narrate in a video sent to me by my friend Mr. P. K Bajaj made me see and listen to the video more than twenty times on a Sunday and each time I had tears in my eyes... Johnny was a special guest at a popular comic show and when it was his turn to speak and he forced the entire audience to stand up and gave him what seemed like a non-ending ovation. He started his inspired talk in a very un-Johnny Lever style and said he had completed thirty years in the film industry and had seen many actors, but according to him there was no better actor than a real life mother. He went on to explain why he thought a mother was such a great actor according to him. He described the process of a mother when she is trying her best to make her two year old son eat. He was at his best when he showed the "nakraas" the child made while she was feeding him and did all that a child of his age would ask his mother to do to make him happy so that he would finally eat. The way Johnny performed the antics of the child brought the house down and some of the best comedians of today were left watching him hopelessly and in disbelief. He even danced like a mother would dance if her son had made it a ambition for him to eat. The child then asks for the TV to be switched on but like a typical mother she says "khane ke time TV nahi" but she still puts on the TV to make the child happy. The child is still not done with his antics. He wants to go out of the room, his mother tries to stop him, but has to finally agree and she is surprised when she sees him jumping with joy when he sees a poster of Katrina Kaif and makes gestures as if he wants Katrina for himself. The mother in Johnny Lever says, "arre Katrina Kaif Salman Ke haath nahi aayi, tere haath kya aayegi " and the audience bursts into laughter again. The most moving moment is of this mother and son moment is when he points out to Naojot Singh Siddhu and calls out "Pappa pappa " and the mother in Johnny sternly says, "woh tere pappa nahi hai, sabko pappa pappa bolte rehta hai. " The mother in Johnny again hears him calling him “pappa papa” when he sees Siddhu and the mother in Johnny says, " woh agar tere pappa hote toh kya hum aise ghar mein rehte? "Another great moment is when Johnny finally says, "woh pappa nahi, Anil Ambani hai ".... Johnny now goes thirty years ahead when that two year old boy is a big man and the mother is eighty-five very sick and lying in bed. The son who is a very big man comes to see her escorted by his security guards with all their guns. The son asks the doctors about the condition of his mother and the doctors say she is refusing to eat which is very necessary because she has to take some very strong medicines. The son talks to the mother in a very commanding way almost forcing her to eat, but she can only mumble a few inaudible words till the son is disgusted. He calls for the equally old mausi and asks her to talk to his mother. The mausi says, "tum bahot bade admi hogaye ho na, abh tumko inki baat samajh mein nahi ayegi. Tum jab itne se bacche the aur totle awaaz mein bolte the, tab tumhaari maa sab samajh leti thi. Tumhara baap jaldi mar gaya aur tabse tumhaari maa ne tumhe baap aur maa dono ka pyaar deke bada kiya. Aaj woh kuch bhi nahi maang rahi hai. Usko doctor bhi nahi chahiye, dawai bhi nahi chahiye usko bas tumhare haato se ek nivala chahiye, uske doodh ka karz. " The entire audience is in tears and cannot stop clapping for Johnny who was not only a leading comedian this time, but was also one of the most experienced philosophers who knew how badly children treat their parents when they are old and are of no use and are thrown into homes for the aged, on the streets and on the over bridges of railway station to beg and ultimately die, a “gift” they receive from their ungrateful children for whom they had sacrificed their whole lives... I wish this one video with Johnny Lever showing the real side of him and life is seen by every son and daughter who fail to know that the way they treat their own parents, they will also be treated by their own children in the future. You made my Sunday , Johnny Bhai and taught me a lesson I never had a chance to learn as I had lost my parents long before I could treat them well or ill - treat them and in a way I thank god for not giving me the opportunity , I would not be able to tolerate my own behavior towards my pappa and mamma JOHNNY LOGON KO BAHUT HASATA HAI , YE TOH SAB JAANTE HAI, LEKIN JOHNNY JAISA SOCHNE WAALA BHI HAI , YEH KAUN JAANTA HAI ? -Ali Peter John Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
