Kangana Ranaut often remains the subject of discussion due to her controversial statements. On July 4, Kangana Ranaut appeared before the Andheri court in Mumbai in the Javed Akhtar defamation case. This is her third appearance in court after Javed Akhtar filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut in November 2020.

Currently the actress is facing charges under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code related to the defamation case. The entire proceedings of the court took place in closed rooms.

The magistrate directed everyone, including the lawyers and the media, to go out as Kangana Ranaut did not want a 'media trial'. Before the proceedings began, Kangana's lawyer requested the court to get everyone out.

Let us tell you that, Javed Akhtar had accused Kangana Ranaut of making controversial statements against him. In his complaint, he also said that it has hurt his reputation.

Javed Akhtar had claimed that after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020, Kangana Ranaut had named Javed Akhtar in an interview. According to reports, Kangana in her statement had told Javed Akhtar to be part of a Bollywood 'troupe'.

Talking about Kangana's workfront, she is working on the film 'Emergency' these days. Apart from this, Kangana will be seen playing an important role in the films 'Tejas', 'Tiku Weds Sheru' and 'Sita: The Incarnation'.
