For the last few months, television’s most popular face, the comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma has been making news for all the wrong reasons. Be it his tussle with co-star Sunil Grover or his show going off-air altogether, times have been tough for Kapil.

But being the true entertainer that he is, the performer recently took to Twitter to surprise his fans to indulge in a Twitter chat while taking out some time from the shooting of his next, Firangi and revealed exciting details on the film.

And in the midst of this interaction, the actor also went on to inform his fans that he might just sing a song for the film as well!

Kapil Sharma has often showcased his singing skills on national television when he was seen singing a few lines along with the guests of his chat show. And two days after Kapil confirmed the news of him crooning an unplugged song, the director of the film Rajiv Dhingra also revealed details on the song to a leading daily. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Kapil will sing an unplugged version of a song in the film titled Saheba Russ Gayi Hai and the director revealed, “Kapil really liked the song and agreed to sing the unplugged version. The original version is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, which will feature in the film.”

Firangi is rumoured to be a period film set in the backdrop of 1920 and is being directed by Rajiv Dhingra and produced by Kapil’s home production. Firangi also stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill and is slated to release on November 10.
