Karan Johar admitted that if they had made KGF in Bollywood, it might have been lynched by the critics

The recently released Yash starrer KGF made a big splash and everyone saw it. The film also crossed the 1000 crore mark in terms of earnings. The film remained in theaters for several weeks and now it is being well-liked on OTT as well. When Karan Johar was questioned on this in an interview, he admitted that he too was surprised to see the review of KGF.

While talking to Film Companion , Karan Johar said "When I read the review of KGF, I feel like if we had made it, we might have been lynched. But here, everyone is saying ' oh it was a celebration, it was a party and this is Too. I appreciate it. I like it with all my heart. But I guess what if we had made it ? He added that "we are living in a dual existence and we have to stop".

Director Karan Johar is currently gearing up for the release of his next production Jug Jugg Jeeyo, starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. This film is going to be released on June 24.

Karan Johar is also set to return as a director with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt , Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi starrer 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. His film is going to be released on 10 February 2023. Recently , Karan announced an action film on his birthday and revealed that he will start shooting for it in April 2023.
