Kareena Kapoor Khan Is In Demand In Films As Well As Television And Strikes A Good Balance Between Work And Husband & Kid

Kareena Kapoor Khan is one actress who has defied age at 39 and marriage and child birth and continued to be in demand in Bollywood even at a time when there is stiff competition in the form of a new actress emerging every day. After her marriage, Kareena proved to be a winner when Veere Di Wedding produced by Anil Kapoor’s daughter Rhea Kapoor with Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar emerged successful at the box office in a big way and Kareena Kapoor is chased by not only several ad film makers but also feature film producers who have A list heroes in their films.

Kareena Kapoor is the leading lady opposite Akshay Kumar in Good News, also starring Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, Anurag Basu’s sequel of his super duper hit Life in A Metro with her Ki Aur Ka co-actor Arjun Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and last but not the least Karan Johar’s Takht , which is set in the Mughal era where she will either be Ranveer Singh's sister or his wife and also share screen space with Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Jhanvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has made her television debut as a judge on reality show Dance India Dance - Battle of the Champions, says that she always thinks from her heart and that does not differentiate among mediums when it comes to entertainment. Kareena says that she is very glad that the audience has accepted her real life personality on TV after having embraced her as a reigning queen in films and she did not have to subject herself to any pressure at all. “I think all my fans out there who know me or have seen me in films for years, are very well aware of the fact that I take all my decisions of my career from the heart. In fact, I use my heart more than my mind. So, my journey as a dance judge has also been thought out from the heart. I cannot be very tough. I understand that all the participants who are performing on stage have reached there after crossing a lot of hurdles. So they need that encouragement and support.”

The actress is judging the reality show along with two judges of the show -- choreographer Bosco Martis and rapper Raftaar. Kareena said that though in the past five years, several TV show offers came her way, she didn’t give the nod. “TV has long shooting hours... they work for 12 hours. I cannot work more than 8 hours after my son Taimur’s birth. I am a working mother and I always make sure that I have to reach home before his dinner. That evening time is our time. I will not compromise on that. Thankfully, with the ZEE TV and the ‘Dance India Dance’ team, we are working out on that nicely. I start my day early but I have to reach home before Taimur eats dinner.”

The lines between mediums of entertainment have blurred with Amitabh Bachchan hosting a TV show like KBC and Saif Ali Khan acting in a web series or hosting a TV serial Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. Ask her if she has any interest in acting in TV serials too, she says, “I have absolutely no problem with any medium. It is about the script and the part that I am offered to play in that. For instance, when I was offered ‘Dance India Dance’, I wanted to do that. I am always a performer and in this show, being a judge, I am going to watch it from the other side. This is exciting and that is why I said, ‘Yes, let me try this’.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals that Taimur is very naughty and a tiny terror, as kids this age are and insists that the world stops and nothing matters when she is with him. “When I am with Timur, there is nothing that is more important. I am his mother and I always want to kiss him and cuddle him till he goes to sleep”

Kareena confesses that her husband always tells her that she is spoiling her son silly. However, Kareena admits that Saif’s reaction is probably because he has had more experience raising children – Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan from his first wife Amrita Singh. “Saif says that I spoil him silly and do not know how to discipline a kid. Obviously Saif is like do not do this... you have to do this and you have to do that” Kareena adds.

Kareena also revealed another hilarious fact about Taimur. Incidentally, he has learned to scold her back. It is because Saif and she always forbid him from doing certain things that the two-and-a-half-year-old has started picking up and keeps telling Kareena: “Mumma, don’t do this, don’t do that. Don’t drink this,”

Kareena and Saif Ali Khan are not comfortable with their son Taimur Ali Khan being constantly clicked by paparazzi. Kareena opens up on the subject and reveals how she finds it scary when she sees media tracking Tamiur's every move. Saif has even advised the paparazzi to take it easy. “It's a very confused thing. I don't want him to get used to the fact that he is getting clicked but now he understands. He hears us say that the media is there amdstarts picking up words. They have been very kind, they remain at a distance but it's a constant movement. The only thing as parents we can do is to allow him a normal life, him to just go out and play and walk the street. If they have got his picture from a distance, they should just go and click someone else, go on and click Ranveer Singh. The media is tracking Taimur's every move”.

Kareena adds. "A child is a child and nobody stalks anybody's kid. Of course, we are worried about that and people should know that. Sometimes when I am on shoot, I get to know what he is doing from the pictures that the media clicks and that's a bit scary."

Talking about Taimur, Kareena recently had quipped that the two-and-a-half-year old, is a terror. “He is exactly like his father. According to Saif, I have spoiled him silly. He often tells me you shouldn't do that. Of course, he has more experience and he is doing a wonderful job as he is giving so much time to Taimur."
