KATRINA KAIF ASKS ANAND L RAI TO CHANGE TITLE OF HER FILM WITH SRK, ANUSHKA SHARMA

After her last few films tanked at the box office, Katrina Kaif doesn't want to take any risks with her upcoming project with Anand L Rai, that also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.

According to reports, the film was tentatively titled Katrina Meri Jaan, but Kat is not happy with the name as her character in the film draws a number of similarities from her real life that she doesn't want highlighted. The actress has reportedly asked the makers to change the title.

In an interview to DNA, the Jagga Jasoos actress clarified, “I play an actress in the film, but I don’t play myself. I’m not Katrina Kaif. My character has a different name in the film. So, the film obviously cannot be called Katrina Meri Jaan.”

The article goes on to state, "The script was written with the idea of Katrina playing Katrina in the film and SRK being her biggest fan. Kat asked the makers to change the character’s name because she didn’t want people to think it’s completely based on her life. Especially because the character of the actress in the film goes through a terrible break-up with her actor-boyfriend. Given that Ranbir and Katrina’s break-up is still being talked about, she wasn’t comfortable with the similarities being drawn between her reel and real life. It was too close to reality, so she requested Aanand to use a different name for her character.”

Currently, Katrina is working with Salman Khan on Tiger Zinda Hai.
