➡"I feel so happy and relaxed. Hmm - - Yes, I feel happy, right? (Giggles) This is a festival that was completely new to me at one time. Before settling in India, the Diwali festival was a distant concept that I had never experienced. Yes, I have seen and heard about it being celebrated by NRIs and seen it on TV but having grown up outside India, this beautiful Hindu festival was not a part of my childhood memories. But my life took a wonderful turn when I decided to make India my home.

Once I settled in this vibrant city of Mumbai, I fell in love with the warmth and grandeur of Diwali.

➡What thing about Diwali do you find most lovely and charming?
➡The twinkling lights, the joyous atmosphere, the Puja thali and the spirit of togetherness during the Diwali festival which has left a deep impact on my heart. For me, Diwali became a celebration of love, peace, prayers, harmony, sweets and the joy of giving and receiving gifts.

➡And then when you married Vicky Kaushal and saw and knew his family and tradition closely, what impression did this Diwali festival make on you?
➡ When I married my friend, partner, talented actor Vicky Kaushal, my love for India deepened. As a married couple, we started celebrating Diwali in a more elaborate and meaningful way. Now every Diwali our house is decorated with traditional decorations including colorful rangoli and beautiful lamps. We both wear traditional Diwali attire. I like saree very much. Especially during festivals like Karva Chauth and Diwali, I love heavy, beautifully embroidered silk sarees and matching moon earrings, bangles and necklaces . Vicky also likes it. I felt a sense of connection with the rich culture of this festival.

➡What were your feelings when you celebrated Diwali with your husband for the first time?
➡One of the most heart-touching moments was when I attended the puja rituals with my husband and my beloved in-laws on the night of Diwali. We all gathered together, to pray and seek blessings, reinforcing the importance of the festival in our lives and our shared life journey.

➡What message has this Diwali brought for you?
➡Amidst the Diwali celebrations, I have the joy of the release of my upcoming film, "Tiger 3" to feel special. In which I have played a courageous role which I have played with great enthusiasm. The challenging stunts and action sequences in this film did not deter me and I attribute this fearless spirit to the essence of Diwali, which symbolizes victory over darkness.

➡Will you give any message to your loved ones on the occasion of Diwali?
➡Amidst the joy and excitement of Diwali, I have an important message that I want to convey. I urge everyone including you to avoid contributing to noise pollution and environmental degradation by bursting crackers. The smoke and chemical pollution from fireworks is not only harmful to the sick, elderly, newborns and our beloved four-legged and beaked/winged friends, but poses health risks to even the strongest of individuals.
My appeal is that Diwali should be made a festival of love, unity and happiness instead of a festival full of pollution and harm. So this Diwali, I encourage you to spend quality time with your family and friends, and I would love to invite you all to theaters to watch “Tiger 3” which promises to be an exciting experience.
