Khalid Siddiqui Says People In The Industry Look For Real Faces Rather Than Good-Looking Faces

Khalid Siddiqui has always been known for his ruggedly handsome looks. While the actor is well aware of his good looks, he says that he has never been someone who has taken extra care of how he looks. “I think I am the most handsome model in today’s time. It's all god-gifted. I am the last person to take care of my face. I am thankful to God for giving me such a face. I don't do much to maintain my looks. But I think my goodness reflects on my face, which enhances my looks. So, I always try to be happy and be good and compassionate to others. Recently, I have started taking care of my body. But before that I never even applied sunscreen, moisturisers or face wash,” he says.

Ask him if he feels good looks really help you get ahead in the industry, and he says, “I think good looks definitely help but I won't say that half the battle is won because of how you look. If the character demands good looks, then half the battle is won. Once upon a time in the advertising industry, good looks were a necessity. So, without being good-looking, you couldn’t get into modelling. But now the scenario has changed, people look for real faces rather than good-looking faces. So, I think being good looking is more of a bane these days.”

He has a few favourite actors too who he feels look good. “Personally, I give more importance to inner beauty rather than outside appearance. I find Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan good looking because of their performances, dedication, intelligence, commitment to their work. I think all this makes a person good-looking,” he says.
