POPULAR TV SHOWS KHICHDI AND SARABHAI VS SARABHAI TO MERGE TOGETHER

It's true that we just can't get enough of some old tv sitcoms and some of their characters remain fresh in our minds. Two of such shows are popular tv sitcoms  Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai and  Khichdi. Just imagine if the characters like Hansa, Praful, Roshesh Sarabhai and Maya Sarabhai are all back together on one show. Kind of an exciting idea, isn't it?

But it's not just an imagination, Its true. Yes, you read that right, according to the Mumbai Mirror which reports that the popular tv serial Khichdi will be merged with Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai for its upcoming season. According to a statement by JD Majethia, who produces both the shows, the cast of  Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai will be featured alongside the Khichdi cast.

The producer of the shows has expressed his views by saying that these shows are like his babies. After both shows received an immense amount of love from the audiences, the idea of merging both shows is best. After getting both the shows together, it might help to grab the attention of the audience.

Getting both the shows together will certainly leave the audiences asking for more,” Majethia said in a statement. “It will be a treat for the audience to see what happens when the mad-hatter Parekhs meet the upper-middle-class Maya and her family, The Sarabhais. A laughter riot for sure.”

The sitcom Khichdi was launched in 2002 on Star Plus and its sequel Instant Khichdi was aired in 2005.  The show which featured Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai and Vandana Pathak was popular for its simple narration and interesting characters.

A few months back, the show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai which used to air on TV, made a comeback on Hotstar as a web series. The web series received an average response. But we are excited to watch the combo of Khichdi and Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai
