Kiran Joneja Sippy Loves ‘The Perfect Murder’, A New Crime Short Film!

Veteran actor Kiran Joneja Sippy, wife of legendary director 'Ramesh Sippy' (The ‘Sholay’ director) is all praise for a new urban crime drama short film, 'The Perfect Murder', written and directed by Vikkramm Chandirramani which released earlier this week. Speaking at a screening of the film, Kiran Juneja Sippy described it as ‘mature and entertaining'. She further said, "I found the film very realistic and plausible. The film requires no suspension of disbelief. There is a lot of naturalness about the whole film. The actors have done very well. I must say Vikkramm Chandirramani as a director has really evolved. I also liked his last film, 'Destiny' but this one is head and shoulders above that one. It could have been turned into a feature film.” Kiran Joneja Sippy is also the managing director of the RSACE (Ramesh Sippy Academy of Cinema and Entertainment). 'The Perfect Murder' released on January 30 on YouTube to a good response. It stars Rohan Gandotra, Samvedna Suwalka, Niharica Raizada and Deepak Daryani in key roles.

The Perfect Murder is an urban crime drama short film of 18 minutes duration. It has been written, directed, edited and produced by Vikkramm Chandirramani, director of the award winning romcom Destiny which has crossed 4 million views on YouTube and won several awards. The Perfect Murder was released on January 30, 2019 on YouTube. It is accessible athttp://www.youtube.com/questmercury . Produced by Quest Mercury Intermedia Private Limited, written, edited, directed and produced by Vikkramm Chandirramani, the film has cinematography by Suman Dutta,Sound Design by Shantanu Trivedi, Music by Shridhar Nagraj. The film stars Rohan Gandotra , Samvedna Suwalka, Niharica Raizada ), Deepak Daryani  and Nirmohi Mali .

Rohan Gandotra is an Indian television actor who made his debut with the show Everest produced by filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. He was selected from over 200 people for this. Rohan has since appeared on popular shows Qubool Hai, Kaala Teeka, Naagin 2, Dil Se Dil Tak and Laal Ishq.

Samvedna Suwalka is a trained actor, having completed a two years Diploma in Acting (Under Robert Reece, Whistling Woods International, Mumbai). She has played the lead in several films including Natsamrat (Gujarati, Directed by Jayant Gilatar), Phamous (Hindi, Tigmanshu Dhulia Production), The Memoir (English, South African Production) and several others. She has featured in ads for Mahindra Corp, L&T, Saffola, Navratna Oil (with Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Nitesh Tiwari). Samedvna has also worked in plays directed by Salim Arif. She has acted in eight short films including The Perfect Murder. She was nominated for 'Best Debut as an Actress' for Bey Yaar at Transmedia Awards and for 'Best Supporting Actress' for Natsamrat at GIFA 2018.

Niharica Raizada is a trained actor from the New York Film Academy. She is from the family of music composer O. P. Nayyar. Niharica grew up in Luxembourg. She has trained in western classical music and ballet. Niharica was crowned Miss India UK 2010 and was also the first runner-up of Miss India Worldwide 2010. She was ranked 45th in the list of Times 50 Most Desirable Women of 2013. She has done several ads including for Goibibo, Panasonic and Star World. She played the lead in Warrior Savitri (2016), a modern-day adaption of the very famous fable – Satyavan Savitri. Niharica has acted in a Gujarati film Var to NRI J in 2016. Niharica has done a film titled Full 2 Jugaadu in 2016 with Krushna Abhishek. She plays an important part in the forthcoming Total Dhamaal directed by Indra Kumar.

Lastly, Deepak Daryani has worked in several films, ads and serials. His best known part is of a principal in Karan Johar's segment of Lust Stories. He has also been part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma and several episodes of Crime Patrol.

Vikkramm Chandirramani's last short film was Destiny, a romantic drama comedy which released last year in 2018 and has since crossed 4 million views and 50,000 likes on YouTube. For this film, Vikkramm received the Best Foreign Film award at The Ridgewood Guild International Film Festival, held at New Jersey, USA. There have been several other awards, festival selections and screenings including at the Jagran Film Festival in India. Vikkramm is a self taught writer, editor and director. His influences are as much from books and literature as from cinema because of the influence of his father, who was an accomplished writer. Vikkramm has been born and brought up in Mumbai and has had a liberal upbringing. This reflects in his films which are about contemporary urban life and the challenges that come with it.
