Know what is there in the biopic film "Sahara Shri" started on the life of the late Subrata Roy?

Now he is not there. Subrata Roy, who gave the message of Good Sahara to the whole world, ultimately passed away 'helpless'. As soon as he was alive, a film production company had announced to make a film on his biography. The title of the film is "Sahara Shree". Since he was unwell for the last several years, there was doubt whether he would be able to realize himself on screen, hence, in the announcement of the film launched on his last birthday (June 10) it was not made clear that the title role of the film would be Which actor will play?

"Sahara Shree" is being produced by Sandeep Singh and Jayanti Lal Gada. The director is Sudipto Sen of 'The Kerala Files' fame. The music composer is reported to be AR Rahman and the lyrics are by Gulzar. Along with the announcement of the film, a poster was also released in which a cheque was shown. The amount written on the check was Rs 25000 crore and the note for it was 'people of India'. After the announcement of the film's launch, there was no further information regarding the film as Subrata Roy was continuously unwell.

Needless to say, Subrata Roy's biopic has all the ingredients of a commercial film. Sahara Shree, who was born in Araria, Bihar, and started his business by traveling around on a Lambretta scooter with just Rs 2000 from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, there came a time when his chartered plane was available to those who came to meet him. Sahara's name was famous all over India and in a survey by India Today, he was one of the 10 richest people of India.

The expansion and spread of the Sahara were in every area. There was a time when the names of three 'A's' used to appear in his special circle of friends - Amitabh, Amar Singh, and Anil Ambani. His hold on politics was so strong that he was considered close to many Chief Ministers. It was said that he was the wealthy Kuber of SP supremo late Mulayam Singh, who was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh several times. At the wedding of his sons Sushanto Roy and Seemanto Roy, it seemed as if film stars had been picked up from Bollywood and kept in Sahara City.

In the sports world, especially the Cricket Board of India, it was said that it had become destitute, and then Sahara Shree gave it 500 crores to revive it. It is said that he had given Rs 100 crore to the Hockey Board. Badminton got his support. He was the sponsor of Indian cricket 11 times. It had become a habit for the spectators to see cricketers playing in the cricket field wearing Sahara T-shirts. The sight of sportspersons and actors in Sahara's Ambe Valley city used to be a symbol of pride. Newspapers, TV channels, studios, airlines, and a gathering of 12 lakh employees to raise finance... all this happens in the concept of a film which was the truth of Subrata Roy's life.

Of course, there are many interesting stories related to the life of 'Sahara Shri'. At the age of 75 (10 June 1948 - 14 November 2023), he was like a legend. These days people are writing about those who were not there on social media. His biopic film will also be equally interesting...if seen from the perspective of filmy masala!
