Krishn Lifts Govardhan Parvat During His Encounter With Lord Indra

Star Bharat’s RadhaKrishn portrays the narrative of the eternal and timeless love of Radha (Mallika Singh) and Krishn (Sumedh Mudgalkar).  The show recently witnessed the entry of ‘Lord Indra’ (Kunal Bakshi) in the much-loved tale that we all know from childhood – Krishn lifting Govardhan Parvat.

The track shows the evil tyrant of Mathura, Kans, trying to convince Indra that his followers are losing faith in him. When Indra goes to check he sees Ugrapadh, one of his most faithful bhakts, planning a puja for him – which makes him very happy. Enraged by this, Kans sends unholy things for Indra’s puja to make him feel that his followers do not respect him. Seeing this, Indra tells Ugrapadh to sacrifice an animal. Krishna makes everyone believe that Govardhan Parvat is in itself god and we should offer prayers to him and not Indra who asks for animal sacrifice. Incensed, Indra causes torrential rain, causing havoc to all around. To save the villagers from destruction, Krishn lifts Govardhan Parvat with his little finger. Seeing this Lord Indra stops the devastation and ask Krishn for forgiveness.

The track promises to be a visual treat for audiences with a shoot that spanned over 3 days with over 1000 individual shots. The re-creation of the mighty Govardhan Parvat from mythological texts took a graphics team of more than 12 people working on it for 10 days to make this spectacle truly larger than life!
