Bong Babe Krishna Mukerjee who’s been entertaining Hindi TV serial lovers for 6 years in shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Naagin 3, Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein in the past is all set to join the Dangal family with a soon to air show Shubh Shagun! The actress will be playing the female lead in this Smita Thackeray production.

Dangal TV kickstarted the year with a new show Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein and has prime time popular shows like Rakshabandhan… Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal, Nath Zevar Ya Zanjeer, Sindoor Ki Keemat and Mann Sundar are gearing up for the airing of this brand-new mega show.

Shubh Shagun is titled after the main characters of the show. While Shubh will be played by Shehzada Dhami, Shagun is the character that Krishna will essay.

Talking about her preparations for the role Krishna says, “I really consider myself lucky that the role of Shagun is so close to how I am in real life, bubbly, chirpy and forever smiling.

Even during the auditions, the creative director told me to be myself and that worked. Even the backdrop of my family, the brother sister relationship, and the rest of the family members are all so sweet.

It doesn’t feel like acting, it feels like home only.” She further adds, “This doesn’t mean it’s all cake walk, I am excited about this show yet nervous at the same time.

There are some really experienced actors in the cast, ones who I have grown up seeing on TV. It’s definitely going to be an experience to work with them. We have had a few meetings so far and everyone’s been so sweet.”

Shubh Shagun is a show that touches on the bonds of a family and the bonds between them, where even the weakest bonds can be strengthened through love, affection, trust and sacrifice where Shagun plays a pivotal role.

The show also stars Chetan Hansraj, Papia Sengupta, Jaideep Singh, Vivanna Singh, Prity Singhania, Pallavi Mukherjee, Mouhit Joshi, Rajesh Puri, Saurabh Sharma, Vandana Vithlani, Guruvesh Pandit, Smitha Dongre, Abhitesh Dwivedi and Kajal Singh Chauhan among others.
