Abhishek Bachchan is a very lucky man. He has had the privilege of spending some great time with his grandfather, the great poet Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan followed by his great actor/father Amitabh Bachchan and also his grandmother Taji Bachchan, even his own mother Jaya Bachchan - Ali Peter John
But strictly going by achievements and even by the statements made by Amitabh Bachchan, it is Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan who has been the pillar of the Bachchan family.
There have been attempts made to try and tell the story of Dr Bachchan through books and plays, but the best and proper way I think would be to make a biopic on him in this age of biopics.
The other day, speaking at a press meet to promote his Dasvi, Abhishek spoke about various things in his life but the most interesting part was when he spoke about his grandfather and his grandmother.
It was not the proper occasion to make any kind of announcement, but he hinted that his company would go all out to make a biopic on his grandfather.
I don't think Amitabh or Abhishek can play the role of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan, but if i can humbly suggest, there are two actors who can do it, and that is Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rajkumar Rao.
Nawaz has already excelled in playing Manto and Bal Thackeray and what better proof can one need to prove Rajkumar's talent than his performance as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose?
And if and when Abhishek makes that biopic on his grandfather, I will be very thrilled to know that i was a part of the story of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
