‘Lai  Bhaari’ Girl Aaditi Pohankar--Undercover-Cop Posing As Seductive Sex-Worker In ‘She’

Vivacious Aaditi Pohankar who started off with  maverick movie ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ and later deviated to Marathi cinema, with her impactful negative role in the Riteish  Deshmukh-mega-hit starrer ‘Lai Bhaari’, followed by  a couple of Tamil regional films, will now soon be seen in a dynamic role in the digital zone.  The sensuous, shapely Aaditi has been cast in this Netflix original digital series ‘She’, which showcases the journey of a daring female cop discovering her potential power as a woman while hoodwinking a drug cartel.  Fear as faced by Aaditi’s character has two optional meanings: ‘Forget everything and run’ or ‘face everything and rise.’  Earlier today, Netflix dropped the tantalizing trailer (now trending big-time) of  ‘She’, for its upcoming series. The gripping crime thriller, produced by Viacom18 Studio’s Tipping Point, is helmed by Imtiaz Ali and directed by Arif Ali and Avinash Das.  ‘She’ will be available for digital viewing from March 20.  The story of ‘She’ revolves around Bhumika Pardesi, a Mumbai police constable who is sent on the streets as an undercover prostitute to take down the drug lord, and somehow, gets caught in the dangerous crossfire.  Versatile Aaditi Pohankar, who is playing the lead role ( with contrasting de-glam and raunchy shades) of Bhumika in the series said, “’She’ is a powerful story about a female constable who is made to go undercover to bring down a drug lord and his cartel. In the line of duty, my character Bhumika discovers herself - her sensuous sexuality and her own power in the truest sense. This role has definitely been one of the most challenging and complex ones that I have played so far. I'm thankful that Imtiaz chose me to bring this amazing character to life.” Also co-starring in this upcoming Netflix series are  Vijay Verma as Sasya, Vishwas Kini as Jason Fernandes amongst others.
