She had sung in any number of languages and she has sung for countless causes and for almost all the major religions - Ali Peter John

I was surprised to get a message from a Catholic priest which showed how she sang for God in Hindi with a Christian background . The hymn goes like this .

Pita Parmeshwar , ho dhanyawaad
Ho teri stuti aur aradhna
Mere masiha ho dhanyawaad
Teri aradhana mein tan man dhan
Pavithra aatma ho dhanyawaad
Karti samarpan jeewan aur man
Pita Parmeshwar ,ho dhanyawaad

The priest says that no one has been able to bring the sense of devotion alive like Lataji has done with this one hymn sung in the most simple way like Lataji has .

Lataji had sung for various religions and in honour of several gods and goddesses and her songs have been a part of the religious rites of every major religion .

• That girl born in Indore and brought up by her father in Poona and Bombay went on to be a legend.
• That girl who went to school only for two days is now a subject for scholars and musicologists to study and do their thesis on her.
• That girl who found it difficult to find a break as a singer is now a singer who is known all over the world.
• That girl whose voice was called a weak voice for playback singing is now known as the ultimate voice for any playback singer.
• That girl who was once a child artist is now worshiped by some of the biggest stars in the world.
• That girl who is said to have been poisoned once survived several ailments and accidents But that girl was also human , she lived long , but like every other human being , she too had to die.
• And when she died after lot of suffering , she was cremated on one of the popular grounds of Mumbai and was reduced to ash like millions of other.

That girl lived to be Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar

And that girl had some of the most powerful politicians and very few of the stars who she had given life to , she lived like a simple human being and died and was made a victim of sympathy for many and an object to be used for their own motives by dirty and selfish politicians

Why am I saying all this to all you enlightened people ?

I am saying it all because I want Lata Mangeshkars life and death to be a lesson for you , me and every human being.
