Recently, news came that about 100 crew members from the sets of Ranveer Singh's film Dhurandhar were hospitalised in Leh after food poisoning. In fact, local authorities in Leh have confirmed that the incident was part of a wider problem of chicken contamination in Leh. "This is one of the biggest films under production right now. What was the need to cut costs? Shooting in Leh is extremely difficult. It is a 300-plus unit. This happened because of a local contamination problem. It is terrible that such absurd rumours are being spread," said a source.

The source further added, "Health, hygiene, and safety of the crew have always been given top priority. Extra precautions are being taken, and strict checks are being done by the suppliers; however, the unit has resumed work. The film is now in the final stages of shooting. There are still a few more weeks of shooting left here. We will complete the shooting and return to Mumbai by mid-September".
